  I initially picked Northwood Montessori because it was the only accredited AMI Montessori school in my area. Upon observing the school and classrooms I knew this was where my children would be attending school. We are so happy with Northwood Montessori and not being from Texas, the school and staff have given me a confidence in letting my children go off to every day with out me. The staff are an amazing group of people and I am very grateful they surround and teach my children. I highly recommend this school.

  What a jewel Northwood Montessori is and it remains a treasure in our lives. We were fortunate to have had our children grow and develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally within this wonderful, truly Montessori school. As my Sister once told me after many hours of observation for her own Montessori degree, "This is the place where you want your daughter to be!". All it takes to know this, is to call and make an appointment to observe.

  The best school! We are from France and my twins were 2,5 years old when they started in the Northwood Montessori School. They studied one year and a half and we had to move back to France. I have never found another school not even close of what Northwood Montessori school and their teachers offered to my kids while in Houston. The love - I mean genuine love and care - for my kids, their patience, their kindness, the wonderful infrastructure they have , the amount of values and knowledge my boys acquired while there were the best start they could ever had in life. I'll be eternally grateful for all Northwood school did to my kids and we all miss the school and Northwood family dearly.

  Northwood Montessori is an unexpected surprise tucked away in NW Houston. The perfect, serene environment - as all Montessori schools should be, provided an excellent foundation for our son. The skill, expertise, and knowledge of the classroom teachers far exceeds any preschool curriculum. We credit this beginning to our son's continued love of learning. It's a must!!!

  We were at this school for almost 3.5 years and I was very involved parent and I can tell you that I spoke to many parents (over 40 families). All of them consistently say the same thing, when the child is learning at this school he or she is at a much higher thinking level and maturity level than his peers. All the kids that graduated from the program are operating at a much higher academic level and most tested into or were very close to being in GT at the public schools. (This is just based on talking to other parents) This makes sense because the Montessori method (and, the way it's implemented at this school) is very effective because it is individualized to the child.
  
  Also, the teacher are the best! They have been there for years. They genuinely care about their students. Their method of keeping kids focused and on task is by modeling not by assertiveness. Wish I could keep my son at this school forever! Our last year at the school I asked my son's teacher if we could stay one more year (my son was 6 and they take kids until 7). She said that while he is welcome to stay it would not be good for his progress, he needs to move on to the next level. Now, you tell me, which school would ever give such true guidance about their students? Every other school I know would gladly say, we will take your money and keep your child at the school. This is why I love this school and recommend it to everyone I know. You can't get this kind of honesty in this commercialized world now a days!
  
  The school is affordable on purpose, it is diverse, it is loving, it is safe, has a full day child care system, it is certified, it had caring teachers, it is focused on the whole child, it’s just a great school to be a apart of. It is truly a DIAMOND in the rough. You’ll not regret send your child to this school!
