This school has been great for my whole family. Excellent martial arts instruction. Concentrated on real world self defense, forms and techniques. Doesn't just give you cute ways to look cool, but how to truly defend yourself in a serious situation. Also has F.I.T. interval training classes in which Geoff is certified and highly knowledgeable. You will see and feel results!! If you are looking for a school where you have to earn your ranks and not just buy them like at other area schools, then this is the place for you. Martial arts and interval training are great either separate or incorporating both. Convenient schedules as well.
Dojo Fit is a great family experience. My daughter takes Geoff's Karate class in the evenings and loves it. Geoff does a great job engaging the kids and is a wonderful teacher.
Soon afterward my daughter began Karate, I started going to FIT training at the Dojo. I have spent many years donating to a gym but never feeling like I got my moneys worth. With the FIT classes I show up and work out and feel great. I do not have to wonder what exercises to do that day, how many reps, etc etc. The classes are all laid out ahead of time and change every few weeks. I feel better than I have in years.
The Dojo Fit studio offers martial arts, circuit training and self defense training. I recommend that everyone attend a workout session. I think you will be very pleased that you did.
The circuit training is a very good workout as you move from station to station (the red numbers noted on the walls in the website picture). One complete circuit includes 15 different workout stations. The workout entails a warm up session, completing 2 cycles of the circuit (30 workstations total), and a warm down session. It is a really good cardiovascular workout that includes all the activities you need for a well rounded workout. You will be in and out within 45 minutes.
Just a personal note on how Dojo Fit has impacted my family:
My wife needed to lose weight for multiple health reasons. She worked really hard trying to get in better shape using our commercial grade treadmill but she eventually reached a plateau and was not progressing.
She decided to try the Dojo Fit circuit training to get the muscular workout that the treadmill does not provide. The impact of the additional training got her off the plateau and has produced great results.
Due to the Dojo Fit workouts she has now stopped taking her blood pressure medicine and is well on her way to meeting her Weight Watchers goal weight. She has also benefited by meeting new people that work out with her 3 days a week and has formed close friendships.

As a 28 year old new mom, I was looking for a more one-on-one workout experience, without breaking the bank. Gyms require you to not only pay for a monthly membership, but also pay for personal training. This was just not in my budget with an infant at home. I happened across Geoff at Dojo Fit, and although technically it isn't 'personal training', I do get the time and attention I need to make sure I am working out correctly, and most importantly, getting the most out of my workout. It has been over a year now, and I actually enjoy working out! F.I.T. is something that anyone can do - old or young, busy professional or new mom - at only 45 minutes 3 times a week, it is very manageable with a busy schedule.
I am now pregnant with my 2nd child, and I can tell a major difference in my body from my first pregnancy. Geoff has been more than accommodating since I have become pregnant, going above and beyond doing research, and personalizing my workout to keep my baby and I safe. I will be returning after the second baby's arrival to continue on my path to becoming a healthy, fit mom. Thanks, Geoff!
I have attended Dojo Fit for about a year. I originally came here for martial arts. Since then I have expanded to do the FIT program. Geoff is an experienced martial artist that teaches real world techniques. He has borrowed from the different disciplines he has mastered to put together an excellent program. If you are looking for a teacher that will actually give you skills to truly defend yourself then this is the place.
