Preventing crime is often simple as realizing that it can happen to you and taking basic precautions to prevent it. The most important thing to know when coming here is to DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE. IF YOU DO PEOPLE WILL BREAK INTO YOUR VEHICLE, and FIND WHERE YOU HID THEM. DON'T BE STUPID AND THINK IT WON'T HAPPEN TO YOU. IT'S NOT IF......IT'S A MATTER OF WHEN. And if you have left stuff in your vehicle, and nothing has happened yet. Then you have been very fortunate. ** Don't be a victim. Don't bring cash,credit cards, social security cards,or anything you don't want to disappear. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS and you should be fine. AGAIN if you FAIL TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE and your vehicle gets broken into, don't look for a Pity party for your own stupidity. Most of the property stolen is "portable", or not affixed to the vehicle. Everything from GPS units, radar detectors, purses, briefcases, phones, money - you name it. Since most property is portable, most of the offenses are preventable. Here's how: TAKE your property with you when you leave your vehicle. For items with mounts (IE radar detectors and GPS units), remove the mounts also and take with you. Hint: Suction cup mounts will often leave a ring on the window. Thieves will look for this, and even if the GPS/Radar Detector (or whatever) isn't there, they'll break in and look around inside the vehicle. So, clean off those rings before leaving your vehicle. LOCK your vehicle. Sure, someone can break the window and get inside, but if you've left nothing visible inside, there's little incentive to do so. A (potential) thief will usually just move on to an easier target. If the vehicle is unlocked, however, a thief often will take a look inside. So, lock your vehicle when you park. Taking the following steps in protecting your property and to discourage would-be criminals from committing auto burglaries: Do not leave valuable items visible in your car. Close all windows and lock all doors before leaving your vehicle. Park in well-lit, heavily populated areas. Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, find another place to park. Avoid parking next to occupied vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings. Make a copy of your registration and insurance, and keep them in your wallet or purse. Then remove all forms of identification from your vehicle. Anyone with permission to drive your vehicle should also have a copy of the registration and insurance with them to furnish to the police if necessary. Do not leave garage door openers in parked vehicles. Take note of emergency/pay phones near where you have parked, in case you need to use them. If you see any suspicious activity or individuals, please contact the police immediately when you feel safe to do so by dialing 9-1-1 (from cell phones). Don’t think your dark tinted windows will hide your valuables. Thieves often use flashlights to see through tint. If you are parking your vehicle for several days check on it periodically.”

“This is a very large, clean and well lighted station. For its size, it is very easy to get into and out of. If you are parked at the pump and need to go in to pay, it is a bit of a walk... The pumps are quite spread out and far from the store. This is perhaps the cleanest gas station I have ever been to. It is gleaming! The store is large and has a huge refrigerated section. They have tons of drink choices, lots of juices, waters and energy drinks as well as beer and chilled wine. They also have a decent red wine selection, more than most gas stations would offer. Their snack section is medium sized with a good variety. They have a hot food section offering hot dogs and hot drinks. The staff is always friendly here and they seem efficient; however, the one down side and the reason I'm giving them 4 rather than 5 stars is that the lines tend to get quite long and you have to wait most all the times I've been there. I don't think I've ever seen there not be a line, it's always at least 3 or 4 people ahead of you.”

“This is a favorite fast food place for us. You can have it your way with pretty much everything. They have good malts. The new drpepper shake is pretty good as well. Their burgers are the best. They salt and pepper them on the grill and that adds so much flavor. They will cheese and bacon it up for you with as much as you want to pay for. Their fries are good not the best but still very good. The chicken strip are great and they come with Texas toast and gravy... So pretty awesome. All in all the chain is great. This location... “Mambos is a reasonably priced seafood restaurant with a Mexican twist. The food is always great except for one time when the Mambo shrimp were overcooked. The oysters are always great, and the street corn never fails. You may actually come across a waitress or two that don't speak English but that's okay because the menu has pictures and you can just point at it. I highly recommend the Mambo shrimp from the appetizer menu, the special fried rice we'll feed you for days, the street corn, the grilled shrimp z style is fantastic.”

I had never tasted oxtails in life (and many infamous cooks in my family have been offended by me not trying their oxtails). The owner of Breaux J's didn't have to say a word... the aroma lead me to sample his soul food. That's been over three years ago and I've been waiting for him to open the doors to a restaurant. From entrance to exit, I was very impressed. Not only is the food excellent, but the decor, the staff and the atmosphere is great.
