Ariel is a dream come true. I moved down to the New Orleans area from New York City and had no idea where to get my curly hair cut. It wasn't a task I was looking forward to (having to find a hair stylist) because I have had some experiences in the past that made me extremely hesitant to go through the haircut experience again. And then, I found Ariel! She is a CURLY HAIR PRO, a master of her craft, and educator, and so much more. Ariel is more than culturally competent and creates such a welcoming and inviting salon experience that makes you feel seen and heard. She takes her time to really evaluate your desires but also goes above and beyond to make sure you're fostering a healthy relationship to hair care. She's a trove of knowledge and really wants you to look and feel your best. Ariel truly blessed my head of curls and they look fabulous! I've tried multiple cuts with her (which I NEVER would have done before) and feel stunning every time I leave the chair. Ariel has also helped me achieve my curly hair dream of rocking silver/gray curls and it is spectacular. Ariel understands the importance of hair as a part of one's identity. I knew from the moment that she reached out after reading my new client questionnaire that Ariel was the curl artist for me! She does an incredible assessment of your hair regimen prior to your appointment. Her space is comfortable and clean. The fact that she asks what type of music you want to listen to during your appointment is a nice touch. Ariel is extremely personable and knowledgeable. She will answer any questions that you have. Her actual work is phenomenal! My curls and I are extremely happy to have found her.

I don’t think I’ve ever gone to the same hairstylist more than once. That is until now! No one has ever understood my curls, but I’ve finally found the perfect person for me! Ariel is not only the sensei of curls but she has such a great personality and is committed to making sure her clients are comfortable and have a pleasant experience. She plays your music, has snacks, and makes health and safety a top priority as well. Her neighborhood is so calm and beautiful too, I always love driving to and from her home/salon. She is empowering and always leaves you bewildered at how beautiful your curls were capable of being! Also, she doesn’t just do curly hair, so all hair types are welcome! Everyone needs a hairstylist like her, she’s perfect.
