My stepson has been going to this school for several years, he is now a sophomore. He has grown in character and in the Lord since he started attending. I highly recommend Founder Christian School.
Best school ever!
When it came time for us to enroll our son in Kindergarten we did quite a bit of 'shopping'. We evaluated everything from the public school system in Magnolia ISD near where we lived at the time to a few close by private schools including Legacy Prep. While all the options seemed good, after going to the Founders tour we were left with no doubts that this was the place we wanted to both enroll our kids in and invest in as parents.
It is clearly evident that the faculty and staff are committed to teaching through a biblical world view and that the classrooms are managed in a loving way that really could not be executed anywhere else. Behavioral issues are addressed (rightly) as 'heart' issues and the class sizes (intentionally kept at less than 14) are ideally suited for teacher involvement and quality time with the students.
The 'classical teaching model' is amazing and integrates subjects so that classes don't present materials that are 'siloed' and disconnected but instead are interwoven. Teacher turnover is uncommonly low and students that go there tend to stay there.
By the time my son is a senior in High School he will be defending a thesis (something I didn't even do in my undergrad at Baylor). The school has lots of plans for expansion and enrichment in athletics beyond what is currently offered and the staff is committed to delivering on their mission. This place may just be the best kept secret in Spring. Both of our 2 children now attend.
For anyone who might be even remotely considering it you should check out a tour. They do them on a regular basis and you can really see what goes on inside the school itself.
I have four children at Founders Christian school and it is without a doubt the best educational experience you could ask for. The teachers are committed believers who deliver an outstanding education from a biblical world view. They live out what they believe. My kids are challenged, loved, and nurtured. Any parent in Spring or The Woodlands looking for a Christ-centered educational offering should look no further.
