San Marcos BBQ

Stopped by today (9/27/23) at the San Marcos location. Servers were friendly and welcoming. Food tasted amazing, smoke to perfection with good flavor throughout. Had a pecan pie slice for desert that definitely provided a sugar buzz. Yes, the building looks rundown and inside it’s definitely not new, but we came for the food, not to be dazzled by new booths or tables. Good job to the staff. See you guys next time we’re through the area.

First off, Google hasn't fixed their address. They are located at 2601 Hunters Rd. I am so glad I called and didn't look for an alternative. The menu was very self-explanatory. I got the JP with mac n cheese and pinto beans, and I got my son the Bobcat to go. Food didn't take long to prepare and nice and hot. There was plenty of seating. Bbq was really good. There were a couple of locals nearby who sparked up a conversation with me which made the atmosphere really relaxing.

I absolutely love this place. The brisket is so tender and juicy and has a really good flavor. I've been wanting to try the pork and the stuffed burger but I'm a huge fan of brisket LOL but I promise the next time I go I will definitely try something different because it all looks so good. I definitely would recommend this place if you are looking for a good barbecue joint

What a find! We ordered the Rudy and an extra side, it was the perfect amount to share. All the meats, the turkey, brisket Gouda sausage and rib were wonderful.
Moist and well seasoned with a peppery crust.
For sides we ordered green beans, potato salad and cabbage. All were good but the cabbage was the real stand out. The plate came with a dessert and a drink. We got the buttermilk pie which is made in house and reminded me of chess pie. Sweet and tasty.
