I recently had Calf replace the rear deck/engine cover on my 23 ft Crownline boat. This is a 7’ x 4” piece that gets lots of use when, swimming, sunning etc. at the rear of the boat. It also raises like the hood of a car to access the engine. After a few years of use and sun it was getting cracks in the upholstery and wood rot underneath. Using the old deck as a template, Calf Upholstery built an entirely new piece with marine grade wood base, a thick padded and beautifully sewn, upholstered top and a fabric finish on the bottom side that faces the engine.
Just as impressive to me, was the fact that every hole on the underside (for hinges, latch and lift supports) was not only pre-drilled but was had new machine bolts already in each hole. When I re-installed the deck, every hole lined up perfectly for all attachments. Very impressive craftsmanship from top to bottom.
Their work isn’t cheap and you’re not going to get something done in a day or two. But you will get flawless craftsmanship.
