Kreutzberg Canyon Natural Area

Nice park -- the maintenance just need to create some natural steps out of stone or steps cut into the dirt onto the huge almost-vertical hill you have to go down & up to get to the trail on the other side;
A lot of people aren't able to get down this hill because of knee issues or without slipping down the dirt & falling & hurting themselves.
USE THE TAX DOLLARS WE PAY TO RIVER MOUNTAIN TO CARVE/CREATE SOME NATURAL STEPS INTO THE STEEP HILL FOR SAFETY!

Not a single person there, true peace and quiet.

Very easy drive from Boerne. Well maintained roads and parking area, garden of native wildflowers, bird watching blind, and trails. The river access is good, although the bank is limited to about 50 yards long. Everything about the park is natural just as expected.

Good little place. The water is very low this time of year and it runs very slow. But it's very quiet and if you want to get away it's great. There are no showers or restroom, but it's free to get in and pretty easy to get to the water. There are picnic tables to eat if you like. Not many shade spots so bring sunblock. We had a few bits but no catches and we saw lots of fish swimming around.

A small Park out of the way. Not crowded nice picnic area and access to the Guadalupe River. Some short Trails which are not well marked but still very pleasant
