George West Steakhouse

Wanting to get away from the fast food meal for a change of pace, we decided to give this little steakhouse a try. We had ribeye, t-bone, chicken fried chicken and a burger. The meat was tasty and our server Vicky was very kind. We are not from this area, but next time that we go to San Antonio, we are going to make sure we stop by again.

Food was delicious and very fast for the setting. Not super busy, wait staff was very attentive and very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place and if ever in the area again I would be a repeat customer.

I'm a regular at this steakhouse. The entrees have been great thus far. The cheesecake, on the other hand, was horrible. It was overbaked and curdled with a grainy texture and tasted like eggs, instead of cream cheese. The recipe definitely needs to be revamped for maximum flavor. Disappointing to say the least. The chicken Alfredo was delicious and was given a generous portion. The bread/roll was freshly baked, but the cinnamon butter had too much cinnamon. Overall, the food was good and I will eat there again (I just won't be ordering cheesecake;))

We found our new regular stop in George West! We pass this town when we travel to San Antonio and usually stick along 281 for dining. This place is just a couple of blocks off Business 281 and COMPLETELY WORTH IT!

They offer salads, sandwiches, burgers, soups, and general BBQ/country style food. Portion size is above average for an adult. My wife shared her pasta with our 4 yr old and they still couldn't finish it. I barely could finish my chicken fried chicken.

Overall place sits about 17 different average families. You may need to park across the street to dine in. Street wasn't busy so not a problem.

Servers were friendly and served with a smile. We completely regret not finding this place sooner! Loved everything about here!
