  The prairie dogs were abundant in the afternoon. The ones enclosed in the center dirt, parking lot area are the most friendly. As you venture out of the parking lot, they get less friendly. It's interesting to watch them howl and talk to each other. It's a free and fun activity. Bring healthy snacks, because they let you feed the critters.

  Love, love, loved this sooooo much. It was so neat. I played down with them and I even got to pet 1. It was a great experience for the kids.

  Be careful when driving past the baseball field. The tunnels go out past the "town". These little guys are cute though. They're used to people being around and just go about their business.
