  We were referred to Robert by a family friend. He helped my mother obtain her residency. From the start, Robert made us feel comfortable and we trusted that he would use his expertise and resources to help with the difficult case.   I had the pleasure to obtain the services of Mr Robert Cates, Cates Law, PLLC. I was incarcerated with Texas department of criminal justice for possession of narcotics, and then detained by immigration authorities. I met Mr. Cates while I was incarcerated. He took on my case and took the time to visit me in prison, and I was very impressed with the way Mr. Cates handle my case, do to the fact that, I’m only a permanent resident of the United States, and because of this. I was under removal proceedings. Thanks to the hard work of Mr. Cates, I was allowed to remain a U.S. permanent resident. He is honest, diligent, prepared and attentive.
