  This is probably the best collision and repair shop I have ever been. Took a vehicle in to get repainted. Not only do they communicate every step of the way, but when it took a few extra days, they gave me a loaner vehicle. My son is VERY interested in vehicles and was asking questions when picking up the car. The staff was warm and welcoming to this. The owner even gave him the best tour we could have ever imagined. Not only that, but complete strangers have been complimenting the great paint job!

  Having used Spags twice previously for detailed re-painting and body work on another car over the last several years, I called on them when my vehicle was rear-ended by another where the liability was rightfully placed. This experience with the insurance company holding the policy for the other vehicle has turned out to be a nightmare. Both for Spags and for me. Spags has been very supportive of my issues with the company and found ways to accommodate me in the process. The quality of work that they performed repairing my car is excellent, and I can continue to highly recommend them.

  Nick was extremely professional in addressing my 1970 Corvette's needs. Him and his team took the time necessary to ultimately save me money by not performing work that didn't need to be done. Would happily entrust them to work on any of my vehicles.

  I've been impressed every time I've brought my vehicle to Spags. Their honesty and integrity has created another customer for LIFE!
  
  In fact, I'm a huge fan of their mechanical repair center even though Spags has a fantastic area reputation for body work (and not just collision repairs, but high-end auto restoration).
  
  I've heard that the big insurers prefer collision work to go to quick, cheap repair places, but you can specify Spags or another local body shop rather than go with their "preferred" shop. In fact, if you know of a local body business that's been in business for a long time, and your insurance company steers you AWAY from them, then you can tell who's doing cut rate work for the insurance company -- but YOU HAVE A RIGHT to get your car repaired wherever you like.
  
  I've had my cars into Spags and they've always demonstrated themselves to be fast, competent, and -- most importantly -- honest. They have a huge amount of integrity; they've saved me hundreds and probably thousands of dollars by not recommending repairs that weren't actually needed, EVEN when I told them what I thought it was. (For example, my car wouldn't start, and I was certain -- and told them -- it was a $500 distributor; their diagnosis showed it was a $5 part and they only billed me for an hour of shop time for the diagnosis, plus the part! So, if they offer a diagnosis option even if you're sure you know what the problem is, TAKE IT!)
  
  I've also used them for PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTIONS (takes about an hour and worth every cent on such a large purchase) and they went through the car with a fine toothed comb and prepared a complete list of all potential issues.
  
  Bottom line: Spags is my FIRST stop for all auto work of any sort. It's so hard to find an honest mechanic, and there is a reason that Spags has been an institution in the area for so long: Spags is immensely competent as well as a fine, family-run business, and it shows.
