“We had the Media Noche sandwich (slow roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickle, on sweet Cuban bread) and the Pechgua de Pollo a la plancha (chicken cutlet with grilled onions, rice and black beans, and yuca. We also ordered the guava and cream pastry, beef pastry, Cuban triple shot coffee,and tres leche. (The pastries were long gone before I thought to take a picture). I had originally ordered the tamales but they ran out so I switched to the chicken. Oh wow! I have no words to describe the flavors captured in this meal. This is simply authentic home cook Cuban food. So good! I don’t know what magic was drizzled on top of the yuca but I simply could not get enough!!!! An older Cuban gentleman (also a customer) stopped by our table on his way out to ask what we thought about the food and coffee. It was clear he loved the place and enjoyed the taste of home. Even though the restaurant was packed, service was good and everyone wanted customers to have a quality experience. This is a locally owned Mom and Pop restaurant and you need to value it as such. If you are looking for an experience and a change from the run of the mill food then this is for you. If you are looking for fast-food style service then you need to go somewhere else. They just had the grand opening on 9/23/22, so it is packed most of the time, BUT so worth the wait! I will most certainly be back. Yum!!!”

“This is my favorite taco place in all of Houston and surrounding areas. They have the best seasoning, from the fajitas to the pastor the flavor is the best. The barbacoa is also great. We never pass up their Tacos Rancheros. My son enjoys their hamburger with fries. They also make a great horchata. This is by far the most consistent and most flavorful taco truck we have been too. We alone Pablo and his family they always treat us great and serve us quickly. Also the green sauce is the best here, super smooth and creamy and very spicy.”

“We just ordered for the first time and WHOLY SMOKE (pun intended) was everything amazing!! We got one and a half chickens and fries and were blown away! The chicken is so moist and the seasoning and smoke flavors pair perfectly. I wasn't hungry until I tried a piece, then I ate half a chicken! There's more on the menu than pictures posted previously, but that's all I could get a picture of because the wife, 3 kids and I tore all the food up!”

“Great no nonsense burgers. Had the Baja and Shroom burger, Baja definitely had a kick to it. The shroom burger was good but recommend getting some more toppings on it as it’s pretty bare bones on it’s own. Fries were great and employees attentive. “I just want to thank the owners for adding a hard seltzer to their lineup. I can sense that it's not your brewery's favorite to brew or sell. But my husband, son, and I live down the road and we get a little stir crazy sometimes. We can't stray far from home because our son is a baby. Plus we really just love the atmosphere of Back Pew.
