Barrera's Fried Chicken

Love the food but kind of pricey which the prices are different from what they're website says&it does no good telling them! Overall I will continue eating from there because its AWESOME chicken especially the fries! I'd recommend it to people passing thru!

Food was very good only down fall the sitting area is dirty. When traveling its nice to have a place to enjoy a meal. No bathroom either.

Love stopping hear for my drive to Houston. Stop and get the liver basket for me and my wife gets the gizzard basket. Very good and seasoned to perfection.

I'm not a big fan of fried chicken, but I do like fried livers. I saw this place on a YouTube channel and since I was in the area decided to give it a try.

I ordered a 2 piece chicken and a small liver meal with the gravy on top. I'll honestly say the fries with the gravy and seasoning were my favorite thing. I can see myself stopping by just for a basket of fries with gravy. They use the yellow chicken gravy, with an option of having it on top or on the side.

The livers were fresh and tender, but I felt were lacking a bit flavor wise. The fried chicken was crispy the skin was good. A bit salty, but the meat was still juicy and tender. The batter had a red tint to it. Probably a spice that was added, as it had a little kick.

Was worth the stop.. prices were really affordable.
