We enjoyed watching the blossoms and new buds on the trees on the paths around the science center. -

(December 30, 2019, 5:35 pm)We really enjoyed the Discovery Room portion of this science center. The Discovery Room is a paid activity $3 for kids, $4 for adults and teenagers, and $5 for Seniors. Definitely worth the price. The Discovery Room is not huge, but practically everything inside it is interactive, very well done, and appealing to kids. My kids are 3 and 6 and were well entertained with the many available educational activities until they started to get hungry about an hour and a half after we arrived.

(May 6, 2019, 8:21 am)The staff here were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Nature and Science and that translated to our children so well. There are smaller exhibits and play areas inside as well as a room with binoculars for viewing Wildlife over the pond. The classrooms were Hands-On and the kids were able to touch smaller insects in the dirt in bins which was great for them. I highly recommend this place!

The naturalist showed the kids some snakes and turtles and she was a wealth of information about them. 45 minutes of instruction was a little long for the younger kids in our group but perfect for the older kids. I would say bring an interesting activity for your younger children to do once they tune out of the long talk. The science center itself is delightful and every corner is interesting. Every single employee was friendly and seemed to like kids. Our homeschool group was very satisfied with River Legacy as a field trip. Definitely try to go in nice weather because the trails are great.
