Dr. Chambers sent me for diagnostic mammogram when I found a lump. He referred me to a surgeon and oncologist. He stayed informed of my diagnosis and advised me to have a mastectomy with reconstruction. I did not follow his advice. I had a lumpectomy with radiation. Less than a year later he diagnosed another lump in my other breast. Again he gave me the same advice. This time I listened! When my pathology report came back from my mastectomy, there was an undiagnosed, third cancer! If I hadn’t listened, the outcome would have been poor. The cancer was rapidly growing. I thank God for Dr. Chambers. I know his advice, concern and honesty saved my life!
My experiences with Dr. Chambers have all been wonderful. Like any doctor, he has to see lots of patients in order to pay his overhead and employees. That said, waiting times have always been very reasonable.
His staff has always been courteous and diligent. They all treat me in a professional manner. When extra tests are ordered or they need an insurance approval, his staff have always used due diligence in getting procedures scheduled, obtaining necessary pre-certs, and communicating with me.
The examining room experience with Dr. Chambers has always been pleasant (well, as pleasant as it could be considering the circumstances of a doctor appointment). When the diagnosis is simple, Dr. Chambers is in and out, often in five minutes. How can I complain? I want a doctor to know his stuff, get in, examine me, diagnose me, prescribe a treatment plan, and get me out. Yet, when the symptoms or ailment are more complicated, Dr. Chambers has spent an enormous amount of time in the room with me. I’ve sometimes felt guilty, knowing that other patients are waiting. But then I consider that they too, will get this same level of personal service should their condition ever warrant it, and I’ll exercise patience if I ever have to wait to be seen, as I’ll assume Dr. Chambers is providing that same level of care to his other patients as he provided to me.
