Fred is very knowledgeable about Toyotas, Lexus and Scions. Had my brakes done on my scion and they are super smooth and quiet. He thoroughly inspected car and let me know the few things he found that should be on my radar for future fixes (which wasn't much). I will be bringing my scion back for all its needed maintenance and repairs.
Tried TLS after a shoddy repair at a different shop located in Bedford. TLS is very clean and professional. The owner Fred seems to focus on quality, which in my experience is hard to find. TLS also fixed an alignment problem on my car that the dealership wasn't able to solve. Drives straight as an arrow now. Very satisfied.

I have a Lexus IS F and have always owned Toyota/Lexus cars. Throughout the years, I've tested several local mechanics in search of that mythical "perfect" mechanic that is competent, trustworthy, and just plain good at what they do. I can finally say that my search has ended, and Fred and Casey at TLS Auto Specialist Service & Repair will now be my go-to mechanics for any of my cars.
I had a CEL as well as headlights that were improperly installed by another local mechanic. Fred troubleshot my issues in the shop and verified there was nothing wrong with my factory components, then went above and beyond by researching my aftermarket exhaust system during afterhours. He concluded that I probably had a faulty aftermarket component (he was right). As for the headlight, they adjusted my headlights as best they could (definitely improved but not quite perfect due to a part defect). I completely expected to pay for their time and services, but Fred stated that since he was unable to completely fix either problem, they would not charge me anything. I was shocked. This speaks volumes about their personal integrity and the way they run their business. You can tell they are trying their best to do the right thing by their customers. Fred was also extremely friendly and spent the time to explain what he had done and what his suggestions were. I have been referring all of my friends/family who own Toyota/Lexus vehicles to check these guys out!
