Best Practice EVER! (READ IN FULL PLEASE)

I’ve had a lot of dental work compacted into 15-20 years. I was married to a dentist from , worked for an oral surgeon and am an RN, so the story of my experience comes from both perspectives. NO ONE should want to have to come to the realization that after a hard fought piece by piece having teeth pulled along the way TRYING against all odds NOT to have to get dentures.
First, let me address both Dr David Parmer & Dr. James Macholl. They are the most professional, understanding, no pressure, most time spent with their patients, to sterile procedures, mask policies due to Covid, state of the art new practice office & equipment and let’s not forget: SKILL & TALENT. I am the primary patient of Dr Parmer but had an emergency that Dr Macholl took care of they are perfectly matched as partners of the Practice, possess equal and strong strengths of the other. Their philosophy is the same: EXCELLENT PATIENT CARE. The IV conscious sedation is given as if you are in a hospital. They will call in a CRNA to give your anesthesia if you have a particularly long procedure allowing them to concentrate on YOU! I’ve been to 2 oral surgeons one in a different State and thought he was good but both Drs Parmer & Macholl are easily 11/10! You don’t feel the IV stick nor do you suffer through those awful oral injections until AFTER you are thoroughly sedated. I’m a hard person to sedate but NOT ONCE, was I hurting or knew what they were doing while working on my mouth. After the procedure, they come in to answer your questions as you recover on YOUR time then THE DOCTOR CALLED ME PERSONALLY the next day to find out how I was doing! As an RN, and the patient, THIS is customer concern and care done RIGHT!
Please, do not be afraid of ANY of the procedures, they both explain to you the treatment plan in depth and do not rush! Even though they have a thriving busy practice you feel like you are their ONLY PATIENT. They try to schedule you ASAP not having to wait weeks or months to get your pain resolved. You are given your prescriptions BEFORE the day of surgery so you don’t have to wait in line as the numbness is wearing off. They are both upbeat and there is NO JUDGEMENT.
Currently I am on my first post-op day with little to no pain, except getting used to the denture itself and I had to have 15+ extractions PLUS bone grafts and implants placed.
My thanks to Matt, my CRNA, he was positively stellar and I can see why they utilize his skilled anesthesia service & care. They take a excellent physical, go over your meds, allergies etc and make sure you know what to expect from consult to conclusion.
Secondly but not last are the BEST dental technicians and receptionists. Even Jessica the scheduler is wonderful and keeps in contact with you. Empathy abounds at that office!

PLEASE, PLEASE for TOP NOTCH level of knowledge and care please make an appointment today or have your primary Dentist refer you. The office is in a brand new location on Beach Street. They have big OR’s, consult rooms, comfortable dental chairs and give you a fluffy warm blanket, use state of art instruments, very clean, and comfortable.
Considering what I had done, I’d have paid MORE & did ONLY because they don’t take my insurance. I’d rather pay a good wage and get THAT kind of care than suffer. I go to a great general Dentist who works closely with these Oral Surgeons.
I may be an RN, but when it’s YOU getting a scary procedure you’re nursing knowledge goes out the window. I WANT to be explained to like any regular non-medical patient and ALL PERSONNEL did. No question or concern is disregarded or forgotten nor are you made to fell “stupid” to ask. They WELCOME questions.
NO ONE was as scared as I was to work up the courage to finally have it done. Very little pain for all I had to have done. So never let your fear wait too long as teeth can affect your ENTIRE body for the worse.
I know this is lengthy. But if this review helps just one person make that decision, PLEASE GET YOUR Appointment TODAY.

I just had a tooth pulled by Dr Parmer and his team and the service was so great, I couldn’t wait to post a review.
First let me say I’m 63 years old and I’m deathly afraid of going to the dentist. ( Had a few really bad experiences in my 20’s. ) But Dr Parmer and his team were wonderful. Every single person in the office went above and beyond to make me comfortable and the whole procedure was done very quickly! I hope to never need an oral surgeon again but if I do, this is the team I will call.

I was extremely nervous about getting my wisdom teeth removed. I’m so grateful to Dr. Macholl and all of the staff. My experience with every single person was pleasant and easygoing. Dr. Macholl took the time to explain everything simply and honestly. He even personally called me after my surgery to check up on me. Going into dental surgery can be a bit nerve-racking. Thankfully everyone at Alliance Oral made me feel confident and comfortable.

I went in to have a tooth extraction consultation after going to Monarch Dental and having a absolutely horrible experience with them. I then went to Jefferson Dental who referred me to Dr. Macholl. I went to the Haslet office and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I was then taken to a exam room and shortly met Dr. Macholl.
He asked why I was referred to him and I explained to him that I was informed that my tooth that was needing to be extracted was to close to my left sinus cavity and I was advised that I would need a bone graft to close the hole between my sinus cavity and the extraction site.
Dr. Macholl immediately informed me that I was given false information and that he has been extracting teeth since 1991 and has only had to go back in three times and close that gap. He explained that I have several options for removal of the tooth.
    A) have it pulled under local anesthetic,
    B) have it removed in office under laughing gas,
    or C) IV sedation.
I have had a tooth pulled before under local anesthetic and I was not a fan. I had my wisdom teeth removed under IV sedation. I choose to have the tooth removed under IV sedation as I thought that be best for me.
Dr. Macholl informed me that the procedure would be quick and that even if he had to be in my mouth longer than normal that he was only charging me a flat rate for the IV sedation.
I was able to check out with a surgery date and the amount due the day of surgery and a list of Do's & Dont's before I left.

Day of the surgery I was able to check in and advised that I would be able to pay or more so my accompanying spouse pay the amount due after the surgery as the cost could be cheaper depending on how Dr. Macholl coded the surgery.
I was taken to a clean private room where a dental hygienist had me set my belongings in a chair. She then had me sit in the dental chair and connected me to leads and took my vitals before Dr. Macholl came in. She also covered me in a soft blanket.
Dr. Macholl came in and used freezing spray and then started my IV as he asked me a series of questions. He made sure that I did not have any other questions before he sedated me.
I was laid back and asked to tilt my head back as far as comfortably possible. The dental hygienist then put on a pair of what looked like gray safety glasses on me.
The next thing I remember is waking up to my husband holding my hand. After I woke up and came to I was greeted by a dental hygienist asking me how I felt.
Dr. Macholl came in the room shortly after and explained everything went well and that if I like the spot where the tooth had been removed would be a nice spot to place a dental implant in about three months. He said that decision was completely up to me. I was under no pressure to decide right then and there.
Dr. Macholl made sure of the medications that I could and could not take to send over to my pharmacy. I was then disconnected from the IV as well as all the leads. A dental hygienist walked me to my car to make sure that I was okay and made it to the car safely.
I would recommenced Dr. Macholl to all my friends and family as well as his staff. They gave 110% effort and truly cared for their patients. I will definitely be using Dr. Macholl in the future for my dental needs.
