  My kids enjoy the ATA Taekwondo of Southlake…
  
  I love the fact that there is a lot of focus on discipline. The class begins with a warm-up, which includes stretching and conditioning exercises to prepare the body for the more demanding aspects of Taekwondo training.
  
  As the class progresses, the students pair off to practice these techniques with a partner, with the instructor circulating around the room to offer feedback and corrections. The focus is on sparring and self-defense, with the ultimate goal of developing both physical and mental strength.

  We’ve looked for years for an activity that kept our daughter excited and engaged and finally we found Southlake ATA. Our 9 year old loves everything about this from the amazing instructors to the way they keep her constantly striving for the next belt/goal. They even encouraged her to compete and now she is hooked! Great place for all ages and levels! They are warm and professional and truly care about their students!!

  Our daughter loves ATA Southlake! All of the instructors have been great and she learns something different from each of them. While there is obviously a heavy focus on taekwondo skills, they also emphasize respect for others as well as yourself. We love that self defense is incorporated as well and that there are numerous class offerings to fit our schedule. Highly recommend!

  We have been SO impressed with Southlake ATA Martial Arts! It has been really great for our son and his confidence. The staff are all wonderful and he has learned so much. I’m a freak about communication and I really appreciate how communicative they are. The facility is clean and they even host fun events for the kids that our son really enjoys. Really glad we found them!

  As someone who has grown up in and around martial arts, I had some pretty high expectations for where my children would go to train. Master Boyer and the team of instructors at Karate for Kids are simply world class. They do an amazing job of keeping classes enjoyable for young children while challenging them to become better martial artists and better people. We have two children (8 and 6) who have been training here for over a year and a third (3) who cannot wait to start going to class with his older brother and sister.
  To see the transformation that the instructors have been able to make in our daughter is a joy. When she started a year ago, she was very timid and just about afraid of everything. Today, she gears up and spars with bigger kids and last month was competing and winning medals at the World Championship tournament. This is thanks not to martial arts but more to the quality of people that are teaching at the school.
  If you are an adult looking for Taekwondo instruction, I think you will be hard pressed to find a better school. One simple indicator of the quality of instruction is to look at the number of world, state and district champs this one school has produced. It is pretty amazing. We have and continue to recommend Southlake Taekwondo & Karate for Kids to everyone who asks.
