“Tuesday a week ago, I drove my next door neighbor to the surgery center intending to wait for her and be her driver to take her home. As I drove her to the center, I began feeling very shaky and weak. After we arrived, she was checking in and I asked the staff if they would check my blood pressure. The nurses immediately responded, guided me to a bed, took my blood pressure and asked me about other symptoms. Without hesitation, they called EMS who transported me via ambulance to Harris Methodist SW which is close to my home. Once in the ER, the hospital staff quickly addressed my dehydration and low blood pressure. Shortly, I was admitted with severe urinary track infection and nearly becoming septic. After five days in the hospital, I was feeling much better and discharged. Thanks to the observant quick response to my condition by the staff, I avoided what could have been a life threatening situation. Hats off and a bushel full of gratitude goes to the nursing staff of Select Ambulatory Surgery Center for giving me the care I needed. I wasn’t even their patient, my next door neighbor was. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! God bless you all!”
