“Update: The Dr. reached out over the week-end and the office called me first thing on Monday to address my concerns. I am very appreciative of the way they addressed everything. These concerns were the only reason for the review below. Since they have been addressed in such a timely manner, I would like to change my review. Thank you, not many offices would take the time to do that. This review is not about the doctors actual performance of the surgery. More about the communication. I had back surgery with Dr. Stevens. When I woke up he was not around to update me on how it went. The next day they were only open till noon, so I called early in the morning and was transferred to a voicemail, and left a message. I called again 30 minutes before they were going to close and left another message. No one called me back. No one even called to check on me and how I was feeling that day. I've had surgeries before and the doctor is always there to tell me how it went and I'm always called the next day to make sure everything is going OK and if I need anything. This lack of communication does not settle good with me. The surgery was described as very invasive and simple. However right before the surgery the nurses Informed me that this is a major surgery procedure. Which made me fell anxious about the procedure. Prior to surgery, I was scheduled for a follow up appointment 13 days after the procedure. But at Surgey I was told that in a week I would have a follow up to have the bandage removed and was not to shower until then. So why was I scheduled for almost 2-weeks after surgery. I told them I could not go 2-weeks without showering! I have a job. When I called the appointment desk the day after surgery to reschedule for 7 days later. They said they were full. I also needed a return to work note so that I could work on Monday, which is a desk job. But since they never returned my call on Friday, I have to take more time off work which I cannot afford. No very organized at all!”

“I injured my ankle in a softball game over the weekend and thought I would "wait and see." After a few days, and not really improving, I decided I should have it looked at. I called Foot and Ankle Associates of North Texas. They had me in the office within the hour. The front office staff, nurses, radiographers...everyone was courteous, friendly and professional. I was seen by Dr. Bliss. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and listened to me. I didn't feel rushed or pressured into treatments or products. I hope I never have to see another foot doctor...but if I do, I will be going back to F.A.A.N.T.!!”

“Imagine this you walk in on time for your appointment that you were able to set via text. They know your name. Offer you a drink and you can sit and enjoy a comfy chair and a drink before your appointment. You get an incredible cut and the. They wash your hair afterward. Everyone is incredibly nice and the service you get is top notch. I wish they would sell cigars in addition. They have a plethora of services they offer and some amazing scents you can try on and purchase. The location is convenient, why would you go anywhere else? Is it a little pricy? Sure. However you get what you pay for.”

“My partner was on hold for 20 minutes waiting for someone in Customer Service to update her on delivery of her medications prior to surgery. Usually the Customer Service representatives at Optum Rx don't speak fluent English and are very difficult to understand. My partner was finally greeted by Elizabeth (Liz) and Liz was awesome. She spoke excellent English and was very helpful. Even took time to spell out all the encrypted shorthand names of the meds for clarity. Very professional! I noticed that the other reviews were very negative, especially in reference to poor Customer Service. Hard to understand given that Optum Rx is owned by United Healthcare Group --- an outstanding health insurance company. Best in the business. Hint: Maybe Liz should be running the Customer Service Department...”
