(February 26, 2020, 6:17 pm)Came into the shop to see if my 2015 MacBook Air had a chance of survival after a serious tea spill. The team was super nice, helpful, honest when it came to the verdict. They could have easily charged me a ton of money to repair my laptop, but they were upfront about the fact that the investment simply wasn’t worth it. Five stars for honesty, expertise, and great customer service.

(January 25, 2019, 11:42 pm)I finally decided to upgrade my MacBook pros HDD to a SSD. I used time machine on a Samsung QVO 860 1TB. Everything was fine until I went to start the Mac. It would get stuck/froze on the loading screen. I ended up putting in the original HDD until I could figure out the issue. After several calls with Apple they couldn’t tell me anything. I called Samsung and they said my MacBook had a recall on the sata cable unibody. After reading on online forums majority of people said it was the sata cable. So I called Macworks and asked how much it would cost. After about 10 minutes on the phone with Milo, he said that it sounded like my sata cable was good and to try erasing the new SSD and installing the OS first and then using Migration Assistant to transfer all my data to the new SSD. Hours later.... and my MacBook Pro is running fast like a brand new MacBook. Such a simple issue that Milo was able to diagnose and fix on the phone with me! Highly recommend Austin Macworks.
