  What this place does is amazing. Set in an old house, you feel you have stepped back in time. The lounge had great drinks and the restaurant had outstnading food. A bit pricey for Austin, but well worth it. We split fried green tomatoes and the Heirloom carrots to start-don't miss the carrots!! Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Chicken and Pork Tenderloin were all done so well. Service was attentive and they anticipated every need. Don't miss this place.

  Mattie's is my favorite place in Austin for a wedding. It has the perfect mix of classic elegance and Texas charm. The garden areas are gorgeous and the building is beautiful and newly updated. It has so much character but also plenty of room for customization and making it your own. It also goes without saying that the food is amazing! Best food I've has at a wedding without doubt!

  Went on a date night to Mattie’s with my wife and we had a wonderful experience. The coolest thing about Mattie’s is how you feel like you are out on a hill country ranch, even though you are right in the middle of Austin. The food that we had was delicious and I would strongly recommend the mushroom toast as an appetizer. The drink menu had a lot of great options as well and the service was fantastic!

  My wife and I enjoyed a delicious meal in this lovely setting. This is a home built in the late 1800s, very palatial with large high-ceiling rooms. Since the 1950s it has been a food and beverage location, and has many charms. The lovely grounds are full of live oak trees, and the setting for many a wedding. Our food was delicious, prepared with care and provided by an attentive server. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a special night out or just a good meal in a unique setting.

  Nice little downtown farmhouse turned events venue turned restaurant. Complete with a handful of peafowl, this is a nice place to have brunch or a wedding. Food was very good, especially the brunch offerings of mini donuts and fried chicken Benedict. Service was quick and friendly, although coffee refills sometimes took longer to happen than I'd like.
