Extended Stay Uptown Suites Austin, TX - Downtown

This is apparently a non-refundable hotel. This keeps the cost of the room lower. The rooms are recently renovated (or just a newer hotel) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping only comes once a week, and didn't do a particularly thorough job, but I was there a little over a month while changing jobs and buying a house. Overall a good experience, and a good value for the money. One last thing: while the room does include a small 2-burner cook top and a refrigerator, there are no pots, pans, plates, or utensils. Make sure you bring your own.

My family and I stayed at the Uptown suites in Austin, Texas. Our home was delayed and we were not sure how long we would need to stay. Staying here was the best decision I made, during this very stressful time. Everyone was amazing, friendly and professional. Everyone from the front desk, maintenance and especially the wonderful cleaning ladies! The building is pretty new and being well kept and maintained. In the almost year we stayed, we had seen the carpets cleaned and touch up paint where needed, they had all the AC units serviced and were very good at communicating what to expect. They cleaned our room weekly and provided us with soap, towels and toilet paper. I do suggest you bring your own pillows and utensils. We used an instant pot daily. The fridge is a nice size and their are a good amount of cabinet space and storage but no counter space for meal prep. If you need a temporary place to stay, uptown suites is there to help take some of your stress and anxiety away at a pretty reasonable price.

We rented out a room for 4 weeks and everything was excellent! My only issues were that the wifi is very slow and the kitchen is a little too much on the small side. The location is magnificent! There’s so much around and even a Walmart for anything you need. My room did get cleaned once a week and sheets/towels were changed as well. The front desk got us our key very quickly and check out was smooth. My only wish is that they would have more moving carts as there’s only one set. They doesn’t get used too often, but another set or two wouldn’t hurt at all. Overall, I’m very satisfied and I know where to look if I ever need to stay in Austin for that long again.

This was a terrific, high value stay. Nice front desk staff; clean, well-designed rooms; close (via car or Uber) to everything. Casual, safe, friendly, comfortable. Housekeeping staff helpful and responsive (and deserving of a good tip). Be sure to bring or order paper plates, cups and plastic utensils with your first grocery delivery; none are provided in the room. Which I preferred — no washing up. Very happy with our 9 day stay.
