  I've rented from National in Austin and couple of other spots in the country probably 30 times in the last 4-5 years. They've been brilliant that's why I keep using them. You can pick your own car using the emerald aisle which allowed us to book anything from spacious Premium SUVs to sport coupe. Their insurance and check-in / check-out is an ultimate no-hassle process.
  I know there are cheaper car rentals out there but the value you're getting with National is beyond comparison.

  Vehicle selection was very limited when I was there and I was put in a larger vehicle than I wanted. I prefer to rent smaller cars for gas mileage but the car I got was only one class larger so I took it. Once I was out on the road and had my face mask off I noticed the car start to reek of cigarette smoke. The smell was too much for me so I returned the car and was offered a much larger vehicle. I do think their heart was in the right place but I hate wasting gas money on a rental car and they quickly found a smaller car from the Enterprise inventory. The larger vehicle was the only offer to compensate me for my troubles. Not a trouble free experience but the employees were friendly. I'd rent there again.

  National Car Rental is always my go to for rentals. I travel frequently for work and also personally, and I have tried many rental car companies and discount sites, and National exceeds them all. You get to sign up for Emerald status with a simply sign-up, and with that, you get to pick your own car. You can get minivans and nice sedans on the Emerald aisle, so you always get a better car in my experience. I love National and will always rent through them!

  Emerald aisle is really quick and you get a free upgrade. There are no lines or wait or any other hassles. Pick the car you like from the lot, get in and just drive out. As simple as that. The class upgrade is a bonus on top of this. Loved the experience and the concept
