  I have loved living here, the apartments are nice (as with any apartment if someone lives above you then you are going to hear them sometimes, it is what it is) maintenance and front office have been extremely responsive and always super friendly with me, my kiddo and my dog. Amenities are very nice and overall the community is relaxed and quiet. Prices are reasonable especially considering this is South Austin and it is in a very nice spot.

  I have loved every part of Highlands Hill Country since I moved in 15 months ago! I'm so grateful to their super friendly and helpful staff and managers (Riley is amazing!) as well as their awesome maintenance team for easily making this the best place I've lived in Austin. They make sure that every area of the community is maintained and keep everyone well informed and up to date on any community changes or events. I can't recommend this place enough!

  I lived here for over two years and overall it was a positive experience. Other reviews tend to harp on management but I can definitely say management has changed since then. They went through at least two changes though in the two years I lived there so by the time you read this review it could be completely different people. I moved out in January 2018. The actual apartments are spacious and clean. The amenities are high quality stainless steel for that fancy look. The apartments themselves really are a wonder for the price. The biggest negative to the apartments is the parking. If you leave your parking spot after 7pm you’re gonna have a hard time finding a decent spot again. Having to load tons of groceries from your car all across the parking lot to your apartment grew to be too big of a pain after a few months and I begrudgingly paid for a reserved parking spot for my last 9 months of living here. The spot cost me $30 a month but I would say it’s probably needed if you’re a night owl or tend to go out frequently. Beyond that, beware of the dog park and even the general outside area if you have a pet as there are fleas a plenty here. My dog got fleas at least twice in those two years. Worse, some dog owners allow their dogs to poo on the rocks leading into the entrance of your apartment rather than the grass. If that’s their dogs preference fine but a lot of owners here don’t pick up after their dogs but thankfully the lawn care crew and staff are good at cleaning up but it shouldn’t be their job to do so. Overall I would say move here as it is some of the highest quality living in southwest Austin but be sure to get a parking spot if you’re somewhat social.
