Colleen is amazing, and my only advice is to just do it! There are a million things to spend money on when you are pregnant and postpartum, but placenta encapsulation was well worth the money. The process was so easy.. Colleen is professional and organized and easy to work with, but beyond that, she's just a down right awesome human. She has SO MUCH knowledge and experience in this area (pregnancy/birth/postpartum/encapsulation/etc), so is easily able to answer questions, refer you to other resources, and give you options. Beyond that, she just had this aura of calmness, kindness and hope. In those final, beleaguered weeks of pregnancy and the first tentative weeks of motherhood, someone sweeping in and saying "everything is fine... it's not easy, but you are doing great" is a God send.

The actual placenta encapsulation process was so easy. Colleen knew the process/rules for my hospital and walked me through the steps ahead of time... forms to sign, days to wait before pickup, etc. I only had to sign a piece of paper when I was admitted. She retrieved the placenta and brought me those life-giving pills a few days after I got home from the hospital (along with some chocolate and other treats.)

The placenta pills themselves were awesome. This was my second baby and my milk came in stronger and faster, I had less bleeding, WAY more energy, and had a more stable mood. They weren't a magic bullet (sleep exhaustion is brutal), but I could definitely tell on the days I had forgotten to take them. I felt much better postpartum this time around, and I think a lot of it had to do with encapsulation.

My husband and I were also lucky enough to have Colleen as our birth doula for the second time. During pregnancy, she was amazing to be able to ask questions about possible interventions and medical issues that cropped up. She helped us write a birth plan and prepared us for what to expect with the hospital birth, and we checked in after every OBGYN visit. I ended up having a scheduled induction and she kept in touch via text all day until we decided it was time for her to come to the hospital. I still remember the peace I felt when she walked in the door... I almost cried from happiness! Colleen guided us through labor by offering different positions, pain coping methods, encouragement and support. She advocated for me with the medical staff, and ultimately I was able to stick pretty closely to my desired birth plan.

Bottom line: Colleen is awesome and her services make all the difference!

Colleen is the absolute BEST. I was hesitant about encapsulating my placentas (yes, mom of TWINS, here) but she immediately put me at ease. The exchange at the hospital went seamlessly and it was such a joy to see her face show up in my room with the sweetest gifts, and what I know call my "sanity pills." Seriously, it was the BEST decision I ever made and would encourage all mamas to encapsulate their placenta(s) via Colleen. I recommend the flavored because they go down so easy and absolutely no gross taste whatsoever. Colleen is a miracle worker and true blessing to this community. I am forever grateful! XO

Colleen is amazing! I was so happy with the prenatal massage she gave me. She made me feel so comfortable. At 36 weeks pregnant it's hard for me to feel relaxed and she made it happen! I LOVED every second of my 90 minute massage and wished it could have been longer! The pressure she used and environment she created were so calming, and she is also really good about checking in and making sure you are satisfied with what she is doing. I was so excited to find out she is willing to come to my home for a massage after my son is born too. I am also using her services for placenta encapsulation. She is just a wonderful person in general who seems like she really knows what she is doing and loves what she does. Highly highly recommend!

I hired Colleen for a massage and she was fantastic! In fact, I'm about to book another massage with her. She comes to your home, is very professional and does a great job!

Just finished a prenatal massage with Colleen and it was an amazing experience. She was professional, punctual, friendly and knew just where to massage to relieve the pain I've been having. She brought all her own stuff and only asked that I bring my pillow. Would highly recommend and am looking forward to my next massage!
