“Gracywoods 1 was willing to work with me regarding transferring my 87 year-old aunt, a covid-19 survivor, from a Houston area facility. Special credit goes to the admission director who was patient and persevering, and who set up the transfer of the Austin dialysis branch and the 3-hour relocation by ambulance. No deposit was charge nor contract signed at the time. They fit the relocation in as soon as it was possible and these matters (invoice, contract) were resolved afterwards. My husband describes doulas as “golf caddies for childbirth”; spot on! Knowing that they would be with us during labor truly took away so much anxiety & fear of the unknown. My husband was able to be the best birth partner ever because he had the encouragement & direction from Brandi that he needed to comfort me & meet my needs. I had the unmedicated childbirth of my dreams & the support of our Doula was key.
