Candice Ackerman, PhD

Candice is really sweet and welcoming. Ever since I was in the Army and went to Iraq, I've been a bit different and I thought I was alone. People would think I was weird and told me I just had too many "quirks"... It caused a lot of issues for me. I went to Candice for an eval from the VA and she showed me a list that opened my eyes & mind... it was a list of PTSD symptoms; I wasn't alone. I felt a bit of relief, but mostly shocked because I honestly never knew there was a list of symptoms or that there were others like me. It made me feel a bit better to know I'm not weird, and I'm not alone. Now I just need to work on myself to see if I can stop these symptoms. (Also wrote this for Flourish Counseling)
