Open Air Resort in Spicewood is amazing! Our kids enjoyed the pool, playground, fishing pond, and friends. We stayed from April until the end of November and after being full time rv'ers for 1 year, it was great to spend some time in this peaceful amazing park not so far from Austin, TX. They fill up your propane tanks and pick up the trash every day. People working at the office are very nice and always ready to help you if need be. Thank you people of Open Air! You made our trip amazing!
We had a great time at Open Air. We stayed in the Lucille which was spacious enough for a couple but could probably fit 2-3 more kids/adults. The unit was well equipped and we found the beds to be firm but comfortable. The resort was quiet and had extra bathrooms and showers - we didn't try out the other amenities. Our only con was a few cleanliness issues in the unit mainly that the floors were dirty - so much that the bottom of husband's feet were black after walking on them. We would still stay again - just bring our swifter or wear house shoes.
Spent a week here with our trailer and our 2 kids ages 8 and 11. Had a great time!! Enjoyed the pool and the pickleball Court immensely! Very clean facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Zero complaints!
We travelled from the UK to enjoy a trip in Austin and completed our holiday with a stay at Open Air RV Spicewood. We rented 2 of their airstreams as a group of 2 couples, and were very pleased with the accommodation and facilities of the park. All the staff were extremely welcoming, kind and helpful to us! The park is near to the city and some great country spots like Krause Springs. Would recommend staying.
Nice place close to Austin though a feel of being in the country. The camper sites are large enough to have some privacy and it's fairly quiet. Our family enjoyed the pool tremendously. Right outside of it are a volleyball court, pickle court and playground. In the pool area there are also bocce ball and bean bag toss though the Astro turf was too hot to be on in the middle of the day. The adults enjoyed sitting at the pond in the evening.
