“New Hope United Methodist Church and Fields Store Cemetery/New Hope Cemetery. New Hope UMC. The church that sits right in front of the cemetery is a beautiful sanctuary clad in clean white clapboard planks and a tall white steeple topped with a cross. Fields Store Cemetery was established during Reconstruction on land given by D. H. Fields. (Ref Texas Historical Society) The cemetery has veterans interred here from 5 different wars and is very well kept.”
