John W. Helton-San Antonio River Nature Park is owned and operated by the San Antonio River Authority. This 98-acre park includes a 1.3 mile hike/bike trail, picnic tables, BBQ grills and wildlife viewing alongside large pecan orchards. Helton Nature Park also serves as the final take-out for the SASPAMCO Paddling Trail, a 12-mile long paddling trail on the San Antonio River.
