“As a child I often explored their cemetery as it was less than 500 yards from our house. They never locked the gate and I would sit there for hours enjoying the peace. My favorite marker was the one that seemed to be for a logger or lumberjack. The details and love shown was evident in all the markers. At 67 I still visit cemeteries to view the love and care folks have for each other. Thank you for instilling that in me. Thank you for leaving the gate open so a child could have a reprieve from what was going on in their life. Thank you.”

“My mom was buried at San Jacinto Memorial Park in 2011; however the funeral services were handled by a different funeral home. Recently my dad was diagnosed with Stage 5 Renal Failure and I decided to contact San Jacinto Funeral Home to obtain information about their services and pre-planning packages. An appointment was arranged with Ruben Garcia to meet my schedule. Ruben was extremely professional and very knowledgeable about the entire process. He responded to all of my questions/concerns, he presented all of their services and then allowed me to make my own decisions without any pressure to purchase any additional services/items. He patiently listened to the type of service I wanted for my dad. Ruben even met with me twice on the same day; the second time I brought my sisters so they could assist in the planning process. He explained, to my sisters, the same process he had explained to me earlier in the day; he patiently explained and answered their questions (even without knowing if we were going to use their services). Planning for a funeral is extremely difficult, however Ruben’s patience and compassion made the process much easier. He has even kept in touch asking about the family and my dad’s health. Thank you Ruben for assisting us in this emotional and difficult process.”

“Went to the Houston VA National Cemetery to visit an old friend, from my Navy days. The place is absolutely beautiful! Very neat, well kept lawn and grounds area. No trash laying around. It was easy to find his grave. You just go to one of several Grave Locators, at the main building. Type in the last name of the person, and you get a print out of the grounds where they're located. Very nice to visit.”

“Our company is a family owned and operated business since 1960. It has always been very important to me as a business owner to satisfy every customer as if they were my ONLY customer. When I called Hill Country Rock for an estimate on a home project I was building, They were very punctual with their appointment. Trevor came out and took notes on what I wanted. Jason, the owner, came back out to get clear on how I wanted it built. I told him I wanted a fire pit area built that looked like an old, broken, adobe stone wall building that, when people looked at it, they would say that it almost looks like the Alamo. They achieved it to perfection. Every morning, Jason would come by early and check on his crew, and make sure that I was satisfied. Hill Country Rock made me feel like I was the most important job they had going. If you are looking for a very professional company, with a personal touch to do your stone work, I can highly recommend Hill Country Rock. Richard”
