“First off I will say that I heard a teacher on Moody once say that we really should not write reviews about the church like it’s a restaurant (if we are a member of the body of Christ). Do we go around writing reviews when we go visit our family members homes? However, based on some reviews here I would like to write about what I’ve experienced during my little over a month of fellowship at New Hope to hopefully encourage anyone thinking about visiting. 1. This is a Holy Spirit led bible believing church. What you see is what you get. No smoke and mirrors or shows to make you feel good for the moment. The Word of God is enough and has all the power here. Personally, I can see the Pastor loves God and His people and wants to see us all (including himself, a very humble man) grow up in Christ. 2. Brotherly love and building each other up. Praying for one another. Reasoning and learning the scriptures together. No egos. The small groups are edifying. This is what I see here. 3. I am an African American women who has felt nothing but the love of God since stepping foot in the door of the church. And I only feel the need to mention this based on some other reviews. Everyone and I mean everyone has been very welcoming. I am sorry for anyone else who may not have experienced this. I will say though that it was different from a physical perspective coming into the church on day one because I didn’t see any other people of color. That was just different to me coming from an area where there was so much diversity in the community church. If I didn’t know the love of God and sense it at New Hope I could have possibly stopped right there and never come back. I’m glad that was not the case. 4. Opportunities to serve. From what I see, there are plenty of opportunities to step up and offer your gifts to help build up the church. 5. Based on the above, I would recommend anyone looking for a local church home to visit and see for yourself :).”

Highly recommend trying it out. However for me this place keeps that fire Stoked in my soul and seeking christ. for me it's jesus jesus jesus till the day die!”

Holy Family of Nazareth

Address: 2323 Cheyenne St, Irving, TX 75062, USA

Church

“Two confessionals and many, many many penitents. Seating in chapel pews so one does not have to stand like elsewhere. On the contrary, i read all of the posted comments. Most were good. However, two cause me concern. One person said he liked the mass (sic) because there was dancing. The other person said he liked the church because the priest makes the Mass fun. Both of these commentators need catechism on the four ends of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Latin Church. We do not dance. Christ representing Himself again as an unbloody sacrifice is not fun. I shall pray for these two.”
