“Mr. Shultz, I can go back even beyond the 1960s. So happens that I was BORN in the parking lot of this church in October 1951. My parents and grandparents lived on Clay Road INSIDE what is now SH 6 but was then Jack Rabbit Road, a gravel road. They were dairymen. My dad went to the parsonage to ask for a string to tie my umbilical cord. He was given a piece of string from a toilet lid cover--a string that held the cover on the toilet lid. I don't REMEMBER that day, and we didn't attend church services there, but it obviously has a fond place in me!”
