“Attended granddaughter's wedding on Saturday, September 25th. It was an outdoor wedding and everything was so beautiful in the gardens. The reception was held inside with many statios of a variety of food and presentations were amazing. There was a film of the bride and groom from their days of growing up to metting one another. It was so sweet and wonderful to look back on their lives to today. Following that there were tents and tables/ chairs set up on another spacious lawn for games and such. There was also a taco truck sitting up.on the hill that was truly a big hit. Overall, San Gabriel Presbyterian Church was a beautiful place to hhave a wedding that was filled with love, beauty, family, friends, and much happiness for Hannah Howell and Austin Wylie.”

“Last year, during the pandemic, I discovered that my cancer had retuned and that I would need significant treatments. When the Resonate Church body heard about my situation, they quickly organized and almost every week, from the beginning of August through the end of November, my husband Tim and I received an assortment of meals, gifts, wine, bouquet of flowers, and -- from a safe distance, often standing in the hot sun -- a friendly, encouraging chat about finding hope in this situation. I realized that these families were trying to figure out how to work-full time, manage homeschoolers besides other commitments and responsibilities, and I was always amazed that they still found time to honor Tim and me. When I expressed my gratitude and concern for people dealing in a difficult time, I was told not to worry, that they loved and cared for us and did not want us to feel forgotten. Let me be clear, these were not random acts of kindness but an intentional expression of love in a practical way. This had a profound impact on our lives because over a long period of time they demonstrated true kindness and compassion.
