“The Judge today was awesome. Not for dismissing a ticket I had (i still had to pay to take of) but that i was LATE for court could have and probably should have been given a warrant. I couldn't believe I was late. Let me explain. I knew about this court date a month in advance, took photos , set it up in my calender. Put an alarm on 7-11-18. I looked at the date 20 times so at least, I was notified nicely by the courts automated system when the date was 7-11-18 multiple times. So it was awesome I left my house in north Houston 2 hours before the court start time and walked into the building only to realize that court time was at 9:30am! I looked at my phone and saw the court time and it said 9:30 am!?!?!HOW I GOT 11AM IN MY SYSTEM... SCARES ME!! LOL Anyway thinking the worst. I went to the door of the court room and an opened the mammoth doors and saw no one sitting in the seats. There were five people behind the judges bench. I said: "Hi I messed up. I missed the court time." The Judge said:"Court is over" (ME) "I'm sorry do I just need to go pay everything?" Judge: "What's your name?" And from there she preceded to take care of the ticket and let me talk to the prosecutor as if I wasn't late at all. No negativity toward me nothing. No ..".ok I guess." just really nice. I jokingly told her, that I was going to give her a good Google review, like you can with dentists and doctors and it made her laugh. Well thank you judge for showing mercy in a world were there isn't much even on this small scale. Sincerely thanks.”

“Great small town feel! Town Hall staff are super friendly. My family has attended Double Oak Police Department's National Night Out, 4th of July Parade, Easter Egg Hunt and many other awesome events the town holds. As for the other reviews, yes traffic enforcement occurs in Double Oak, and it makes sense. There are no shoulders or sidewalks for people to walk, bicycle etc on and the roads are hilly in some areas.”

“Took the time to say a very special thank you to Judge Cryer, I know you helped me some how. You answered my calls when my family was in crisis and I am forever in your debt sir. You made me so comfortable to talk to you because I was scared and nervous and did not know where to turn too, I didn't know how you could even help us. You were so kind and put me at ease by saying there is no reason to be nervous. You knew what to do how to handle my situation and I didnt even have to explain you just said we can all work this out. Do you know how rare you are sir to help me and my family like that out of crisis. You are very busy but you took the time to tell me you were there for me and I was so amazed. Things are looking up for me mom and Berkley too. Things have improved. You don't know who's lifeline you will be some day but you were mine a few months ago and again I dont know how to thank you. “Recently received a citation for not having car insurance, even though I had it. I went to the court a few days later to provide proof of this, and received a letter in the mail shortly after saying I was found guilty. Needless to say, I was very upset. Feeling as if I had been robbed, I showed up to the municipal building with an attitude, but officer Morgan empathized with my situation, took the time to look at things, explain what probably happened, and how we might go about fixing it. They are of course the government, so I wholly expected them to stonewall me and stick me with the citation... but I really appreciated the helpful attitude, which is why I’m changing my one star review to four stars.”
