“I take my baby here on bad days where he needs to be seen immediately at the night clinic, the young ladies are very helpful and sweet. The nurse practitioners are very kind and thorough. So far I've only had one bad experience with an old rude lady that walks in to take the temperature, she refuses to answer questions in what she's about to do and will give you unnecessary attitude when you're just being a parent and wanting information. She literally said let me do what I do when I asked her what she what she was going to do when she walked in with the serialized items. I needed to know so I could know in what way i needed to calm my son so he won't panic or if i needed to hold him. People like that who refuse to be informative to the parent, and feel like they can talk to you rudely have no place in a pediatrician's office. Other than that, the lobby wait wasn't so bad, the room wait was a little long but the nurse practitioner was amazing.”

“I have been an active patient with Dr Scmitt now since 2018. I had an infection in a diabetic ulcer on my foot that I have been trying to treat for years unsuccessfully. Through his recommendations and care, the wound is now fully healed. During that time I broke my other foot in a fall and received care for that as well. “I want to applaud the nurse who put my IV line in for October 9, Wednesday before my surgery with Dr. Peden. There's zero bruising and I've never had such a clean result. Five stars to her! She did it in the arm before my elbow. First she took blood and then put the IV setup in the same motion. Minimal pain. I wish i knew her name but all I know is she was ready for lunch. Thank you and you made my day! The reason I gave 4 stars is that I was supposed to get my veins fixed in the surgeon's own clinic setting and somebody set me up here in the hospital instead which doubled the cost. But all the staff here are efficient and lovely. The scheduler gets 3 stars, and only for getting the surgeon right”

“Took my son to the Shallowater Clinic for his 9 month well baby visit and waited 2hrs before finally walking out because we hadn't seen Dr. Carreon yet. They are completely clueless when it comes to breastfeeding, the nurse weighed my son wrong, and even filled out the wrong questionnaire before she realized the one she was filling out was for a 9 year old, not a 9 month old. The curtain in the exam room had blood stains all over it, trash was really full, and counter tops looked dirty. Needless to say, we walked out after 2hrs and switched doctors!! ***UPDATE**** JULY 6TH, 2015 Dr. Carreon called me this morning to apologize for the way things were handled. This was my first time ever speaking with him and I must say I see why everyone loves him. Dr. Carreon's apology was very genuine, heart-felt, and from the perspective another parent. Speaking with him changed my whole opinion on his clinic and I look forward to giving them a second chance.”
