“UPDATE Nov 2020. We have lost count of the number of home improvement/remodeling jobs KC has done for this house. The latest was to replace four outside doors after 22 years of use and wear and tear. The work was well planned and completed in short order. I have already told them of 2021 project.s We have been using their services for many years.. They are my first choice for home repairs beyond my skill level. Especially if it means getting above the first floor outside or on the roof. Window cleaning, sun shade screening, fence repairs, minor plumbing, tile flooring and attic insulation are many things they have done over the years. Most recent was repairs following a hail storm. They did the finish work by painting the entire house and fixing broken window frames and screens. If they can't do it Kangaroo can provide an excellent referral. UPDATE Aug 2015. They finished a great modeling job on kitchen; new everything except cabinets which didn't need change. Scheduling all the sub-contractors took the headache out of getting the job done right and quickly. UPDATE May 2016. And they did another great job on master bathroom. Not as extensive as kitchen but still well done. UPDATE Dec 2018 Repairs completed in an excellent manner due to leaking roof damage in family room. Fixed sheet rock and repainted. Also replaced/repaired worn faded trim on roof area and installed better turbo wind vanes for attic.”

“Raphael is a rockstar!! My 18 mos old couch broke due to poor design. The manufacturer was no help. I called Gilton Upholstery. Raphael looked at my couch and said he could fix and reinforce it. I mentioned that the couch was comfy but it was too low to the ground. And explained how he could address my issues and make the couch more functional for me. Build a foundation and add new sturdy and attractive legs. 1 week later, Raphael delivered my couch in beautiful shape with a strong frame and beautiful new legs, and foundation. He was helpful, kind and did great work for a reasonable price. I can't recommend him enough.”

He came to take a look at what I thought was a wasp issue and saw that it was just a small mud daubers nest! “Our children have been attending Aurora Waldorf School since they were toddlers. We have been incredibly happy with the quality of teachers and staff that support our children daily. It starts as early as 18 months with the parent tot program where parents attend a class once a week with their child. In this classroom environment we are able to talk about raising a child and what parenting areas we may need advice in. I found it to be very supportive as a new parent. The children then grow into a wonderful nursery class, flourishing to a kindergarten program that focuses on fine and gross motor skills. The children are actively engaged and moving while developing life long skills. They are fully ready when first grade arrives to sit and focus on developmentally appropriate academic skills. It's been a beautiful experience to see my children grow and flourish within this environment. If you have an longing or interest in seeing this school, it's worth your while to take a tour.”

“Our seven-year-old daughter has been training at Kuk Sool Won of Oak Hill since she started in the Tiny Tigers program over two years ago. In short, it has been a wonderful experience! The school owners + staff are incredibly welcoming, kind, patient, encouraging and supportive. There is a solid sense of community/family at the school, from staff to students and families. The biggest impact we’ve seen to our daughter is a major boost in her confidence and courage; while it’s an excellent physical workout, the kids are also taught respect, control and responsibility. While we were sad to step away from in-person classes at the school during COVID-19, the owners did a remarkable job at pivoting to Zoom classes in the interim, and happily the kids are back to outdoor classes at the school (and park) again now. We feel safe sending our daughter as the school has taken great care to follow all precautions/guidelines. Kuk Sool Won has had such a positive impact on our daughter and we look forward to continuing to watch her progress.”

They quickly were able to complete the paint service after the storm, but also help me acquire and coordinate repairing an exterior busted water pipe.
