“I was expecting our experience with the CAD to be difficult but they did two things very quickly for us this year... 1) they quickly accepted our retroactive homestead filing even though it was an oversight on my part. It was applied almost immediately AND I got a refund within 2 weeks. 2) I protested our home value with a current appraisal and again, within 2 weeks, we had a great settlement offer that was extremely close to our appraisal value.
