“One of my favorite museums in the world. It is very different from most in the things are not sorted out by periods necessarily. They also have a good collection of Ceramics and glass and sculptures, unusual in my experience when most museums are hanging paintings. I particularly like the windows looking out on the Gulf that look like art also. Fabulous Museum Store!”

“I attended the Christmas event they hold here every year. They have actors dressed in late 1800s - 1900s clothing and playing roles in their Mills, houses, stables, etc. Santa was also there and set up very nicely. This is a well put together Christmas event and I would highly recommend attending!”

“My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time here! We did the version with the house tour, which I would definitely recommend to others. Our docent/tour guide Sharon did a fantastic job. It was also just us on our tour, so she was able to talk directly with us and answer our individual questions. It made for a very personalized experience. The whole thing really exceeded our expectations.”

“My wife picked this place to go to and I was dreading it. I have no interest in agriculture whatsoever and was regretting going. Then we went and it was great. I'm an old man but I liked all the hands on displays. It kept my interest up through the entire visit. Also a couple of the volunteers there were great in telling about things and answering questions. I really enjoyed the entire visit.”

“Seriously fun for parents and kids(ages 12, 10, 5). There was so much more to do than we had time for in our 3.5 hr visit. We were lucky enough to visit on New Year’s Eve for a dollar days discount event with extra fun activities including a noon balloon drop, resolution post-it wall, games and display tables with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Outdoor xeriscape garden was beautiful, educational, and a nice place for a family photo ;)”

“Original one room stone schoolhouse hand built by German settlers in the mid 1800's to school their children. Located on its original plot on a hill overlooking the hill country. Used until the 1950s when the local school districts expanded and consolidated the country schools.”

“I have stayed in Hampton several times over the past year as my son is stationed there. Hands down this is the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff is friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is clean and inviting. There is nothing negative...THANK YOU”

“What a great museum! My daughter loved it! There are really cool interactive exhibits here. We loved being able to go into the plane, sit in the cockpit, make decisions in the command center, learn to load luggage with the correct balance, and design our own plane among other fun activities. My only complaint and the only reason I knocked off a star is the staff there the day I went. They weren’t particularly friendly, helpful or enthusiastic. You definitely need more personable personnel.”

“The caverns were cool, and it was a good tour. I do think they need to emphasize the steep climb, as there were many people on our tour who were struggling, little kids also had a tough time, many children were carried. I think kids under the age of 4 or 5 have a tough time with the tour. All in all, the caverns are impressive. My 5 stars is for the caverns, not the theme park feel outside the caverns.”

“This Park is one of the best kept and wonderfully restored historical sites I've ever visited, not only in Texas, but the entire nation. You can take a volunteer tour of Independence Hall, visit displays and go through the store in one area. Next up is the Star of Texas Museum. A 20 minute video is worth your time before enjoying the two story museum. It's amazing how much they have on display and the depth of what's available. The grounds are also beautiful. We spent an easy 3 hours here and I'd suggest allotting at least that much time. Be sure to bring a picnic as not much is available close by.”
