“Was headed to another taco truck and for some reason they were closed. Came here not knowing what to actually expect. After getting my plate of food… which is a rare thing when getting tacos from a truck I had to take a photo before I ate them. I got the beef tacos and charro beans. “Let me start off by saying that I am upset at my self for not going sooner. We live on the Rowlett side of the the Bridge, still inside Rockwall county. Not that far, but a good 30 minute drive and being lazy and hungry we always went for the closer options. Well, that will not be the case going forward. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed, but service was still great. There was a live band that was great too. Okay, so when we pulled up the parking lot was packed and spilling into the back that was 60 vehicles deep. We thought we were going to have to wait for a while but, after the drive we were okay with that. When we walked in we were greeted with a big smile and a welcome. The hostess let us know that there would be a little bit of a wait on food. We did not mind and we were Guided to our seats and prvided menus. Our server was at the table within 4 or 5 minutes and got our drink order. I got unsweet tea, my wife got water. The tea was amazing, strong and I had 5 glasses! We ordered the fried pickles for our appetizer, they arrived in about 15 minutes. Not a long wait in my eyes! I was very happy to see they were LIGHTLY breaded. They had an amazing crunch and the ranch was so good. None of the pickels tasted greasy at all. For me, that is a huge plus! As we kept eating and got down to the bottom of the basket we noticed there was sitting oil down in the bottom. That was a bit of a surprise as none of them were greasy, accept the last few still sitting on the bottom. Another 10 seconds to drain would have been PERFECT, but with the kitchen being rushed and backed up, they wanted to make sure the wait was not too long so I respect that so I was not upset at all. The menu offers so many different options, that it was a bit overwhelming to choose. When trying a new place my wife and I always end up getting something we both want, so we can share. That way we both get to try something at the new place! I landed on the chicken fried steak. It comes with mashed potatoes, and beans. The steak was fantastic and moist. The crust was crispy and had tons of flavor. The gravy lacked a bit of salt, but thats totally okay to me because I tend to like more salt than most people. When it comes to salt and pepper, I like to be able to add my own. My wife got the Bacon Cheeseburger, with sweet potato fries. OH MY GOSH!! The bun had to be potato bread or something because it was soft, sweet, and paired with that burger so well. The bacon was GOOD bacon, not that thin overcooked garbage most places serve and call it bacon. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. In fact, it was so good, that my wife would only offer me 2 bites HAHAHA. But man, those were some good bites. NOw, I am not a fan of sweet potato fries, and I only ate a couple. They are just not my thing, however my wife said they were amazing. We truly enjoyed our whole experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and everyone makes you feel like you are home when you are there. If you are on the fence about trying this place, jump off and start running. The prices are VERTY reasonable, the service is amazing, everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is so inviting. I can see spending many of nights here in the future!”

“🌮🌯 This afternoon I had the chance to try out Chiloso Mexican Bistro, and I must say, it was quite an interesting experience! Living just a couple of minutes away, I had never been to this place before, so I was excited to give it a shot. As I walked into the restaurant, I couldn't help but feel a bit confused about where to go for service. Silly me, I accidentally used the wrong door opposite to the customer service area. But hey, I quickly realized I wasn't the only one! There were other couples ahead of me who seemed just as bewildered. It would definitely be helpful to have someone directing customers to their tables or the ordering area. Now, let's talk about the food. I have to admit, it was delicious! However, I couldn't help but notice that the prices were a bit on the expensive side. I mean, do we really need to pay $20-$30 for a simple lettuce, chicken, paper, and tomato combo? Nevertheless, the place itself was clean and well-maintained, probably because it's a brand new building. Despite the confusion and the slightly steep prices, I genuinely enjoyed my meal and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. In fact, I was so impressed that I even invited a friend to join me there. So, if you're looking for a new spot to try out, I encourage you to give Chiloso Mexican Bistro a chance. Who knows, you might just love it! “Came here with my Abuela to grab a bite to eat. She was in the mood for hamburgers and I just saw this place coming down the road, so I looked it up. I'm glad we stopped here, because the food was great. It was fresh and came very quickly, and for the price, it's very filling. Not to mention the very nice and attentive waiter. “I don’t usually feel the need to leave reviews for fast food places unless I have an awful experience. However, I see so many negative reviews for the location that I didn’t experience. It seems like most of the issues are at peak times (these workers are only human and make mistakes. I know I did) or near closing time (they’re probably closing the kitchen and getting ready to go home before you pull up, so I understand them being grumpy.) put yourself in their shoes in both situations before you go off on a rant on google. My experience was amazing. The gentleman that took my order in the drive thru was very polite. He waited for me to dig through change to find 50 cents and chuckled and said “no problem!” When I kept apologizing for not being prepared. He seemed to be running the window and front on his own, so he deserves to be congratulated/rewarded for having a great demeanor. The food was also hot, which is hardly ever the case for me with fast food like this. I was really just craving a bean burrito and it did not disappoint!! Lol. It was the most stuffed burrito I’ve had from taco bueno and was so hot I had to wait to eat it. I will definitely make the extra drive to this location!! *Stay fat. Stay happy* ;)”

“Let’s Taco Bout It!!! 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮 🌮🌮🌮🌮 Highlights: •Homemade tortillas •Aguas Frescas •Spicy salsa •Sautéed veggies Review: La Sabroza has all of this to offer and more. The experience started off with the horchata. It tasted a little different but still very refreshing. However, I didn't get the hints of cinnamon or vanilla that I would normally find in horchata. While the agua fresca is good, the main event is the Carne. First up is the Carnitas. While they were crispy, they were also a little dry. But, it’s nothing their spicy red salsa and lime can’t fix. The salsa added an extra kick with the lime providing that fresh citrus flavor, taking the carnitas to another level. Next is the chicharron. La Sabroza cooks theirs in a green sauce, which was good. However, it lacked the spicy kick it needed to really elevate it. The chorizo hit the mark: spicy, fatty, aromatic, smoky and delicious. The tripa was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside with a soft center on the inside. Finally, the highlight of the whole experience: the barbacoa. Juicy, savory, fatty, and salty, cooked and seasoned to perfection. To add the cherry on top, everything was paired amazingly with sauteed onions and grilled jalapeño.
