“I love this place! A friend got me tacos from here, and I come when I can.. My daughter is picky with her tacos and was craving birria. I told her about this place, but it was the weekend. So she had to wait till Monday. I got them for her and didn't tell her where I got them. When she found out, she couldn't believe they didn't come from a sit down restaurant but a gas station spot (honestly those type of spots usually serve the best food) Now, this is her new favorite birria taco spot! She used to drive to Dallas and pay almost twice the price! She said these are the best she's had. The only downside is that they are closed on the weekends, but I completely understand. It's a small family owned business run mainly by the dad. I definitely recommend that you try and give this place 5 stars!”

What appears to be a small trailer ended up being an incredible evening cuisine for our family. La cocina is hosted by two wonderful ladies who deliver high quality service and expert knowledge on their customizable menu. The food comes in generous portions, great taste, and their fair price. “Went to the Morning After event in Dallas this weekend and Chiloso did not disappoint, they got my token on the first pass!! Their dish was delish in every way….a very delectable treat of queso, with a grilled avacado stuffed with the fluffiest of scrambled eggs, sprinkled with cotija cheese, some pickled onions and topped with a little chip for crunch! “I absolutely love pho and I was craving it today. I decided to search for a spot near the area where I’m being treated for PT and I found Pho Em. After reading the reviews, I knew I had found my dinner spot. I walked in and made my way to the counter where a young man (cashier/server) was completing a sale with a patron. Once he was finished I asked him if it was okay to seat myself since I wanted to dine in. He politely answered that I was welcome to seat myself wherever I desired. I found a seat at a booth and he immediately brought a menu and happily asked me if I wanted something to drink. I requested a glass of water. When he returned I ordered 1 little Vietnamese egg roll which I thought would be accompanied by a lettuce leaf and a side sauce but it didn’t. The guy who came out with the egg roll was rather cold and nonchalant. No smile and no acknowledgment. I was pleased that my egg roll was freshly made and piping hot just like I like it. Not long after, a young lady came out with my pho which was also piping hot and so delicious. It hit the spot and I have more than enough left over for lunch tomorrow. I really want to give Pho Em 5 stars but here’s the issue I had…the young cashier was AMAZING and the young lady that served my pho was polite and wore a smile. However, there was a woman whom I presume was the owner/manager who came out several times and sat in the restaurant. I could see her glance at me several times from my peripheral vision and not once did she bother addressing me. During the entire time I was in the restaurant, besides me, there was a gentleman who came in, ordered, ate and left. I grew up in a business that my parents purchased when we came to the U.S. and I KNOW the importance of quality customer service. I am currently a business owner and I know that your patrons are your bread and butter. It costs nothing to say “hello” or “good evening” or even “thank you for your business” it all goes a long way. This woman had ample time to make contact with me and build a positive rapport but she failed to do so. It’s unfortunate that she didn’t cease the moment with a kind gesture. It makes sense that the gentleman who came out with my egg roll had a similar demeanor… lead by example. As delicious as the food was, unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning to Pho Em. I have certain standards and expectations for the way that I’m treated especially when I’m spending my money at an establishment.”

“My family introduced me to this place as they went there for lunch. My Dad raves about the gyros (who has high standards for gyro meat) and my Mom was a fan of the spicy chicken plate. I tried the plan with them during dinner and I will now be a regular. You can tell they use fresh olive oil and even sell their olive oil in bottles. The rice was flavorful and the hummus was up there with the best hummus I had. I normally do not eat salad but it was well dressed and a great compliment to the meat and rice. The s falafel is the best falafel I have ever had in my entire life.I had to placed an extra order after destroying the appetizer. The baklava had such a unique almost cinnamon bun like taste, I loved it so much I got one to go for my significant other. Additionally, the service was phenomenal and the person who took our order was very deliberate in taking good care of the place and keeping things orderly. “The only thing iffy about the place is the music, which after 5 minutes seems cool anyway, haha. The servers were really nice and knew the menu well! The drink in the photo is their masala chai. For those un-aquainted with authentic chai, it might seem weird. But it was unique and had a beautiful, flavorful scent. As for the dishes, I went in time for the lunch combo and got Yellow Dal Tadka and Paneer Tikka Masala (vegetarian options). SO GOOD AND FLAVORFUL!!! The Tikka Masala was flavorful and rich, and they weren't stingy with the paneer (which was the best paneer I've ever had)!! As for the Yellow Dal Tadka, that was my favorite 😍. It was a lentil dish which had a comforting texture resemblant to porridge but it was so smooth. It was also very flavorful and beautifully spiced! Such a pleasing dish! I'm from out of state but I know if I'm ever in the area again, I am definitely coming back!!!”

“Nice little spot that has the charm you want out of a brunch spot. The portions are generous, and the food is good, especially for the price. I had the veggie scramble with bacon and pancakes and my wife had the chicken and waffles. Based on the modern country home vibe this place gives off, I expected prices to be higher and was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable they were. My wife and I both ate here for $30 total after tax and tip. Now, maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the service was incredibly slow and the restaurant didn't seem to be overly busy. It took 20+ minutes just to get water and coffee, which seemed excessive, and our waitress didn't check on us between taking the drink order, and bringing them to us within that ~20 minute timespan. She was apologetic and the food came out shortly after, but it was a bit strange. All in all, we will likely be back in the future.”
