“The Google description identifies this restaurant as Tex-Mex but I really feel it was more Mex than Tex. Had a little bit more of an authentic feel for the meals. The chips were thick and different than your chain restaurants Salsas had some kick but not too much . The salsa verde definitely had a strong jalapeno hint but was great. Queso also had a good flavor. I had the Mad Mex, which was the brisket flavored combo, and it did not disappoint. I actually enjoyed the rice, fluffy and nice flavor. My wife had the Chorizo Breakfast tacos and enjoyed them. Piggly sized nachos were more than enough to feed two teenage girls. Overall, staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Our server kept up with beverages and chips.wpild definitely come back again next time I'm back here.”

Wife's food order was changed by the manager since the crab cake wasn't available after waiting an hour. Then my food arrived 15 minutes after I flagged our server down. We were there 1:45 and nobody cared or said anything as we sat there waiting. It wasn't busy, but just poor everything.”

“Read about this spot on a FaceBook page that spoke highly about it. We drove down to the beach for a small family vacation and swung by on our way back home. Great ambiance inside, love the 1940’s, 1950-60-70’s high school sports photos. Our food took a little longer than we would’ve liked as we we were just trying to pass by, eat and go. The food quality most definitely made the wait worth while. Plus a triple stack hamburger for under $10 is unheard of with this wild economy. Our waitress was very communicative and even brought my little baby girl complimentary sweet potato fries. Highly recommended.”

The lone star state doesn't have the charm my true home has (but that goes for almost everything) yet I do see the good things. The affordable drinks are still on point as always. Yet they do have some special exclusives here that Hawaii doesn't have. The nearest location is ok. Nothing special. But. It's actually nicer than a lot of Honolulu 7-11s because there's a significant lack of homeless and vaper zoomers hanging around the area. On the other hand. It's very empty in the area. Flatlands with little choices nearby to select from other than a Sonic next door.”
