“I have had so so many Tex mex and Mexican food here since moving to Texas. The wonderful thing about this place, is how small it is. Friendly and inviting, clean, bathrooms clean, and our server Nelly, was absolutely adorable. And even though there was somewhat of a language barrier, she got it all correct. She was sweet and attentive. Chips were warm and crispy, and the chicken fajita tacos, OMG!! To die for with that fresh cilantro!!! Yum!!! Can’t wait to go back when the cravings hit again!! “This place is good, and has great prices. They don't have fountain drinks but they have that in a bottle. Pizza was good but kinda small. Not really complaining though because pizza was cheap at happy hour. This is more of a beer place and while I didn't get a lot of beer they did have a lot of it. (They are a brewery after all) Overall they were lacking a bit, but I enjoyed my experience here and the workers are friendly. 4/5”

“Me and my friend tried this place out after searching for valid Caribbean food in the dfw for months. We are both from Brooklyn ny and have had a fare share of soul food, Jamaican and other Caribbean cuisine. This place does not disappoint !! Everything tasted fresh and had deep flavor, and the price you pay for the portions were outstanding. We got plenty of rice and large amounts of chicken and a generous amount of oxtail which is surprising these days. “The food here is great! I had shrimp tacos. The taco shell is toasted or something and it makes them delish! You have a choice of several toppings to add. I usually get the shrimp, but be aware that you need to wait a few minutes for it because they cook the shrimp per order. Fine with me because it's better than old shrimp! Hubs had what he calls "One of the best burritos he ever ate". It's a bit pricey, $22, for what seems almost like a fast food place, and that was with a buy one get one free entrée coupon. You can find the coupon in many circulars, and the backs of Kroger receipts, so we'll continue to go every so often. The atmosphere was fine and the tables seemed clean. It has a beachy surfer vibe. They have a small selection of beer and margaritas as well. There's a cool glass wall with water and bubbles floating around in it. It's worth a visit if you haven't been.”

“I really enjoy seeing movies at the Movie House and Eatery in Northwest Austin on 620. It has the most amazing seats and the food service is very nice also. I don't go to all of my movies here but I certainly do when a plans for dinner and special movie comes out. I find that the service and food are both in the four plus star range and that there are certain dishes that really stand out, I have experimented around and really like the poke bowl for a fresh and nutritious option here. But they also have all of the standards you would want such as hot buttered popcorn, burgers, milkshakes, and pizza. I personally don't really drink, but the bar service and drinks that people order seem to make them very happy! ;-) I just have to say that the space and seating are the biggest plus factor for me. The Walk isles are very wide in between seats and even in a full reclined position you have plenty of room to walk in front of a seat if you have to go to the bathroom. The movies screen and projection are always very good. The only thing I have noticed, is the sound is a little weak here sometimes. If you want to go see a movie with a booming soundtrack and really want it cranking, might want to go to a different place for that experience. On the other hand, if you don't like how incredibly loud movies can be at certain places, this will work better for you. All in all this place falls into a four to five star rating for everything and one other thing I would say in closing, the staff and management always seem to be very friendly and happy and I believe that makes a place more fun to visit also. It reflects down to the customer experience level. Check it out. It's a great place for Operation Dinner and a Movie!!”

“This was our first time going here and had heard mixed reviews . Then the proximity to home, and the fact that they’re open till 11 was a major factor visit the place. It’s right off Hwy 121 and has a warm and cozy ambience, that quickly grows on you. The lady who seemed like the owner told us that we can order using the QR codes or we could just take her help. We chose the “Human” approach :-) We ordered the Tandoori Aloo for starters, along with Dahi Puri, Papdi Chaat, Thayir Vada and the Schezwan Noodles. The BBQ aloo was in two flavors Mint and Garlic, we chose garlic ! The platter came with grilled potatoes , onions and green peppers. The potatoes were boiled just right and the flavor had the perfect char and also an amazing garlicky flavor. Definitely hit the spot. The chaat items dahi sev Puri and pappu chaat were customized to our taste with sweet chutney and the lack there of as requested. Surely matched the typical indian street food vibe👏👏 The Dahi vada / Thayir vada was in a beautiful leaf plate, with 4 small medhu vadas that were perfectly soft, easy to cut with a spoon and just like in south India, dunked in a pleasantly seasoned yogurt pool topped with cilantro ! The flavor transported you directly to the streets of Chennai 👍 The last one, and the highlight of the food fare, Schezwan Noodles, the ultimate Indo Chinese dish was laden with sautéed onions, green and red peppers and smothered with schrzwan sauce that was spicy and full of authentic (maybe a pun bcos, Indo-Chinese isn’t really a formal cuisine, but is a very popular variant in India). So if you’re at Sankalp, definitely explore the Indo-Chinese options as I think you won’t be disappointed . Overall an amazing place for a family meet up, couples retreat or just a bachelor boys hangout, Sankalp hits the high notes on Flavor, Ambience and Service! So what’re you waiting for , just go ahead and splurge already !”

If you don’t know what to get I’d recommend the Egusi with assorted meat (right corner in the picture below) or the Eru with goat (left corner in the picture below) the Egusi is a very flavorful and is my go to . If you’d like something with spice go with the Eru . The Eru is a spinach dish that has a spicy kick of flavor with just enough spiciness - not to overwhelming …..and both of those come with yam fufu . We drove 45 minutes just to get to African village and it was well worth it EVERYONE is welcomed and the workers will explain to you what the dishes are if you are a first timer . if I could give more than 5 stars I would .”
