“The food is actually very good. The seasoning works perfectly with all the types of meat offered. I think the shrimp is the best I’ve tasted in Dallas. The only downside is it’s on a tad on the expensive side but the food quality is high, and the customer service is good as well so it’s always nice to support a quality local business. “Please don't mind my redundant pictures of Chicken Fried Steak and Pork Chops in this review. Just wanted to show how much we liked these two dishes and the frequency we ordered them. Loved how pork chops were brined, so juicy and tender. Chicken fried steak had two sizes, dinner portion were huge! Unfortunately our favorite Allen location was permanently closed. We tried McKinney location once and it was disappointing. Food was of similar standard but service horrible. They're obviously shorthanded, most unoccupied table left uncleaned when we were seated. Worst yet the floor appeared to be dirty and sticky to walk on. One star deducted. We'll wait to try this location one more time before not returning. Keep our fingers crossed.”

“Whatever you do, GET THE HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE PASTRY! I was so amazed by it, I forgot to take a picture 😭 but it was incredibly yummy. Get it warmed up too. Also, the French Vietnamese Au Lait drink is delicious. Strong coffee flavor from the French chicory root coffee but toned down with the sweetened condensed milk. I found it delicious and satisfying. The coffee house itself has very friendly employees and they display artwork from kids at the local school.”

First visit but definitely not our last....ordered breakfast and it was ready in less than 10 minutes- hot and delicious. Belgian waffles with blueberries added, whip cream on top, soft butter and maple syrup - added 1 scrambled egg. I didn't leave anything but a dirty plate! My dining partner had 2 overeasy eggs, biscuit and sausage gravy and hash browns. Gravy was a bit salty but otherwise tasty. Full bar and soft drink beverages...order specialty coffee at Perky Bean Coffee shop next door and it will be added to your tab+brought to your table. All this for under $28. The wait staff were friendly and cleared dishes as they walked past the table. Highly recommend if you are out near 183 & Hwy 29.”

I even told my husband “these people deserve a raise” just due to their outstanding customer service. The environment is noisy and entertaining by little kids!! If you don't like kids' noise then this place is not for you!! Our bill total was $185.33. Lots of shaded outdoor seating, spacious play area (no photos out of consideration to families with children at play), and staff that deliver outside and follow up. As I was alone, I sat at a table for 2 and had some great salsa/chile, and some great Chicken Enchilada Mole. The mole is a little less chocolaty than I prefer, but balanced seasoning, rich and creamy, on some wonderfully prepared chicken enchiladas. The Ofrenda for founders/grandparents was lovely too.”

The waitress, Martha, took us to a booth right away, and we ordered the food - a vegetarian fajita, which was not even on the menu. “I have been by this place at least twice a week for the last year. Today I had an hour to kill, I was in the neighborhood across the street from Sofia’s so I decided to try them. Anytime I try a new pizza place I always have the pepperoni, this time I added bell peppers. I’m so glad I did, the first bite was exactly what I was hoping for, an explosion of flavors! Their crust was perfectly crispy and tasty! It’s such a shame I waited so long to stop and try their pizza! Don’t do what I did, if you are near and want some great tasting pizza, I definitely recommend Sofia’s Pizzeria!!!”
