“I love staying at Lake Medina! I stayed in the cabins and they are nice. I liked going on hikes and being able to see the wildlife out there. Then being able to come back, take a swim in the pool and end the night by our campfire. The cabins have everything you need. Fridge, stove, pots, pans etc. The cabins are really clean and the beds are great! They're spacious and nice to relax in.”

“I really enjoyed my almost year long stay here. Mary is a very kind and caring person. She made me feel at home and not alone while going through a divorce. The neighbors all watch out for one another which helped me feel safer, being a young woman alone for the first time. The rent is reasonable for what you get. While I was staying we got free wifi which was a nice plus! Cons would have to be the washer and dryers where always broken. Only 1 of each worked but Mary was always asking the previous owners to fix them. They keep your packages and mail safe at the office and over all is a quiet park with easy access to IH10.”

“Our kids really enjoy Thousand Trails Medina Lake! Their highlight of each day is when they get to feed the deer. I recommend taking your own sack of deer corn, especially if you will be there a few days. We've done both tent camping as well as stayed in the cabins. The pool is very large and clean, but it's been under construction for several months. I would call to make sure it's open if that's something you are looking forward to. There is an air conditioned community center with a pool table, baby rooms, inside and outside has a large area to play tennis, ping pong, volleyball, basketball and also a small playground. Next to that is a mini golf course. The place does needs some upkeep, but i'm sure that's something their new management is working on. Overall, if you're looking for a nice, nature filled, quiet outing away from home...this is it.”

“Terry's is a great place that is near Alvin, but not in Alvin. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets in a quiet park. I spent almost a year there and it was absolute peace. The customer service is beyond exceptional, they keep you informed and built a small community there. Excellent facilities for a great price.”

“Could not ask for better customer service! Bought new A/C unit after purchasing a dud from a different (Explore USA Rockport) place. These guys said to drop off the unit with them & they would test it for us (what? The other place said they needed our whole rv with a/c connected to be able to test it & blah, blah, blah to think about getting us our money back) (see my Explore USA Rockport review for more info) Amazingly enough we (customer Jason Wyeth) were issued a refund not even 24 hrs later for the faulty unit we didn't even purchase there. “We had a great time at DVRVP. Everything was very clean and well cared for. We saw the owners & their team working hard to keep everything picked up over the holiday weekend. The kids loved the biking area and pool. The dog park area was clean and had fresh tennis balls. I really enjoyed walking down to the river with my morning coffee. It is very easy to see how much the owners care about their property. The easy access to the state park and Dinosaur World was just a bonus. We’ll definitely return.”

“I have stayed here for about a week and I can honestly say we love it. Monthly spots with all utilities. Dogs allowed. Perfect 5G signal which is a huge deal to those using Hotspot for WiFi. Wonderful country vibe out here. Directly across the street from Buck Creek Boat Ramp and the convenience of the lake is amazing. Always something to do. Kayak launch point, mild hiking, sandy area for swimming, boat dock. And Lynn or Linn (not sure the spelling) is really kind and funny! Had me cracking up! 🤣 The park is very quiet, you can see the stars so clear at night. I personally appreciate the absolute, perfect picnic tree right in the middle of the property. So far, it's the right place to call home!”

“This camping spot was accommodating to our needs, we felt safe, and it's in a convenient location. We enjoyed the drive-in movie theater nearby. The time of year that we visited the KOA had dead vegetation, hopefully there is more green grass and nice trees according to their pictures. The dog park access was convenient, we really liked this place, we will stay again. Military discount and location near Texas Tech was our main considerations.”
