“Granddaughter just got to Carter. She loves it with the exception of one rude teacher. The teacher put her down the first day that she got there. She keeps making insensitive remarks to and about her in front of the class. I consider some of the remarks unfounded and hurtful. Is this how Dallasisd treat their young adults? I worked in elementary schools in Dallas for 22 years. This is unacceptable behavior on the teacher's part. High school students are getting ready for the real world. When they go low. Teachers should go high. Find out if the young adult has problems before you hit them below the belt.”

“Most of these bad reviews came in consideration if you take classes that are not very challenging. Of course you'll come across people and teachers that are not very considerate about teaching. Most of my classes (AP) are very versatile in learning, we do many different things to help us learn. I've taken regular classes in the past. And regular classes will not make you ready for college. Yes, the halls are very crowded and people always seem to stay in very large crowds in the big side. Annoying? Yes, but I won't let it keep me from going to my classes and actually getting an education. Our classes are just fine, if you want to challenge yourself. Extra curricular wise, we are amazing! Our band is top tier, one of the only 6A bands to advance to state since 1988, our football team has made it to playoffs in which we haven't in forever! The Pantherette team keeps going at it with Nationals! I highly recommend this school, if you are willing to again, challenge yourself!”

The director is very good too. I had to make it a point to come back to give them 5 stars. I have been here 9 months now and have no problems. I recommend them to everyone.”

“Nothing much to say. I went here. It exists. Not the best school in the world and you may hate it when you first go but when you sit down and get to know what you're dealing with you'll eventually learn that everything happens for a reason. Love the fact that they always push you to do your best. I was just going to continue the line of my feeder patterns and end up at Skyline, but my teachers pushed me to apply for Townview(a very good magnet school) and I got in. Honestly, i never even thought about it. But...well...sometimes you need that little push from great teachers that can see your potential and help you find it”
