“We spent the holiday weekend here at Log Cabins and it was a great experience! Our cabin was clean and well appointed. It was surprisingly quiet given how close we were to the water and the public boat ramp. The resort grounds were clean and quaint with plenty of bbq areas for us to relax outdoors with family and friends. The management staff responded quickly to any of our needs with a friendly smile! The experience started off with the horchata. It tasted a little different but still very refreshing. However, I didn't get the hints of cinnamon or vanilla that I would normally find in horchata. While the agua fresca is good, the main event is the Carne. First up is the Carnitas. While they were crispy, they were also a little dry. But, it’s nothing their spicy red salsa and lime can’t fix. The salsa added an extra kick with the lime providing that fresh citrus flavor, taking the carnitas to another level. Next is the chicharron. La Sabroza cooks theirs in a green sauce, which was good. However, it lacked the spicy kick it needed to really elevate it. The chorizo hit the mark: spicy, fatty, aromatic, smoky and delicious. The tripa was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside with a soft center on the inside. Finally, the highlight of the whole experience: the barbacoa. Juicy, savory, fatty, and salty, cooked and seasoned to perfection. To add the cherry on top, everything was paired amazingly with sauteed onions and grilled jalapeño. We have flooring that was put in by the builder throughout most of the downstairs, and Floors 4 Less order new flooring and installed quickly and perfectly to replace our bedroom carpet downstairs. The install including furniture removal, installing around base boards, and meshing wood into the existing floor in the hall way was perfect. No mess, No hassle, nothing. The owner was extremely responsive through text and made the experience so nice and easy. I give the whole process 100 stars if I could. Highly recommend.”
