Peaceful area after you get out of the cluster that is King St.
Good place for photography. Parking is limited, expect a walk though you may be lucky depending on how busy it is and how patient you are.
A local park at the foot of Old Town overlooking the Potomac River. It is used by locals to dog walk, for selfies, and several benches line the waterfront to capture views of sail boats. You can also catch views of National Harbor Resort, in the distance. Street parking is free, limited to two hours. Note, during special events, parking is often reserved/restricted. Within steps of Torpedo Art Factory and King Street Trolley stop at Union and King Streets.
It is along the river side in Alexandria downtown where you go for a romantic and enjoyable walk, drink or eating out. I call that part of Alexandria "the European part of Virgina"! I love it! :)
Very pretty park to enjoy on a nice day. We had our friends wedding pictures and wedding party pictures taken here. Good scenery, ample space for all sorts of activities and of course right on the water. Highly recommend if you’re in Alexandria.
